Hot Wings Cafe — Restaurant in Pasadena

Went there and picked up lunch today March 11, 2021. I'm not sure what their specialty is however, I can say what it isn't. It isn't onion rings. No flavor, soggy, not crisp. French fries are not the specialty either...under cooked, again no flavor simple salt goes a long way. Also, not there specialty chicken Cesar salad...the one we had to day had brown salad, was on the dry side and had about 8 croutons. Of the $60.00 I spent on lunch only about $10.00 of it was worth going back for. I ended up having a cup of soup that was way better than the lunch we got today. It was a waste of money and calories. So, disappointed. Here is a sample of the salad that was served today. All brown, old and certainly not worth $13.00. Dear Owner, Today is May 16, 2021 and you responded to my rating with...the onion rings taste differently when they have been sitting around for a while...you said that the salad would be better if I ate it at your restaurant. Well here is my response to you. There is not way that I would ever give your business a second chance. You actually do not take responsibility for the lack of flavor in the food I purchased and BROWN lettuce in the salad. No amount of in restaurant seating is going to make brown salad taste better. If you don't know the difference between brown salad and fresh salad you should not be in the business you are in. There was nothing we got that day that was worth going back for. And we got 5 or 6 different items. Perhaps you should not have responded to my original review...because you took no responsibility for the food that you allowed out of your restaurant. And that is more shameful than the actual food...

I came here for a night out and planned to enjoy a lakers game, i ordered a cesar salad , curly fries, and mild hot wings bone-in. The staff are still super friendly and the place looks decently clean. It wasn't busy, and the food arrived on time. When my food arrived I served myself a small portion of salad not viewing my food with the eye.. and so the salad was good. It had the right amount of dressing and cheese. But , upon further inspection of my food I noticed that my salad was old and soggy, rotten chunks with gooey lettuce. I enjoyed the fries but when had one it had an after taste. I noticed the curly fries were quite greasy. As every bite I had of them were very much oily. But I had that guilty pleasure of dipping them in the ranch every now and then. their mild flavor wings taste almost like a kick instead of actual hot sauce. It's great. Their actual wings were okay. I would see lots of bruising and blood clots from these wings. And um I was almost closing my eyes for a bite but the flavor was on point. Idk it was a weird feeling digesting this with my eyes. But nevertheless I ate ! I regret to inform everyone that the very next morning I felt sick to my stomach. It was just as I suspected as the proof was in the toilet bowl. I 100% feel like it was the salad 🥗 I do hope to come back for a fresh meal.. Hopefully their food quality...

After 10 years, I finally revisited Hot Wings Café in Pasadena, and I was happily surprised by the experience. The place has been remodeled to a more modern look. Although I felt the previous look had more personality, the new vibe is still great.

My partner and I were warmly greeted by the staff. I'm not sure what other reviewers were referring to when they mentioned poor staff behavior, but our experience on a Sunday evening was the opposite. Our waitress was very friendly, and we noticed other staff members quickly cleaning tables and making sure they were spotless for the next guests. The floor was also clean, adding to the overall pleasant environment.

The wings were slightly smaller than I remembered, but that's expected nowadays in most restaurants. We also got fried zucchini and curly fries, and they were fantastic! Everything tasted amazing. They also provided plenty of napkins and a moist towelette to clean our hands after enjoying the wings.

Overall, Hot Wings Café remains a great spot for delicious wings. Even after a decade, I still enjoyed my time here and will definitely be back. Highly...
