I wish I could give Tardino Brothers 10 stars, because their food is absolutely incredible, the owner & staff is so nice & accommodating, the patio has a great atmosphere and did I mention how delicious their food was ?
We had a party for my nephews medical school graduation at Tardino Brothers with 18 people attending. We took over the outdoor patio. it's a wonderful space that's intimate, quiet, and you're in a world of your own.
The owner created a menu to satisfy everyone coming to the party, which as you know is virtually impossible. EVERYONE raved about the food, each dish was more delicious than the last. The owner came out after the last dish was served to introduce herself, and make sure we were ok, everyone gave her an ovation.
The stuffed mushrooms were insanely delicious, the cranberry & apple salad with a homemade dressing was truly spectacular, there were Turkey & beef meatballs that were so flavorful and cooked perfectly. Next was the Ravioli with a cream sauce that was the best any of us had eaten. Then the chicken Parmigiano that honestly brought the crowd to their feet.
Trust me when I tell you this is a tough crowd to make happy, with a caterer and 4 avowed "foodies" at the party, I didn't expect a 100% approval. I had chosen Tardino Bros to have the party, so everyone complimented me on finding this 5 star gem. There wasn't a single person who didn't love the food, how each dish was more delicious than the last and they were fighting over who got to take home the leftovers.
In speaking to the owner, all of their family recipes date back 100+ years, they only use the freshest and cleanest ingredients, they grow their own basil, sage and others on the patio and the incredible attention to detail is in every dish they serve.
Do yourself a favor, eat at Tardino Brothers and you'll fall in love with the food and the intimate...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGluten free H E A V E N. This place is magical. Like legitimately full fledged Walt Disneyland level magical. The food is completely made from scratch. The ingredients are as fresh as you can get. And if you are gluten intolerant this restaurant treats you like an actual human being. You want any pasta? An alfredo? A spicy gnocchi? You can have it gluten free. You want garlic cheese bread? You can have that gluten free. Oh, you want a dessert other than a scoop of gelato while your whole party enjoys double layer cake in front of you? Well guess what? You can have the cake too. I have never had gluten free garlic bread and double layer gluten free cake without having to drive to a bakery 25-miles from my house on the miserable West Side. And in that case I'd be ordering a day in advance. I'm so grateful for the Tardino Brothers. They have everything ready for you at little to no notice. This restaurant must really love and appreciate all people and not just the generally healthy public. I suspect someone they love and care about has a food allergy and that translates into the business? I strongly recommend this place to anyone ever. If the Tardino Brothers care about allergens to this level you know they care about all food in a way that I wish every restaurant did. Saints! Thank you Tardino Bros! Thank you for the food and thank you for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis restaurant is amazing! The food is cooked as if it came from a tiny restaurant with an Italian nonna in the kitchen. The ingredients are fresh and the meals generous in size. The pizzas are HUGE! The minestrone has big sized veggies whose freshness you can taste in every bite. Every dish can feed you at least once, and there are plenty of choices such as pasta carbonara, chicken piccata, sandwiches, empanadas, salads, etc. We have only used outdoor seating and it was pouring rain the last time we went. They had prepared for that with large canopies and even offered dessert on the house. Desserts are hard to choose as each delicacy is mouth-watering. Offerings include a variety of gelato, cheesecake, a pistachio-based pastry, tiramisu, chocolate cookies, and cherry tarts, to name a few. Parking is a little bit of a challenge if you arrive late. There is street parking and some paid parking. You may want to park on Colorado as parking is free after 6pm. If you are a MAD magazine fan, you'll get a kick out if visiting this hole-in-the-wall,...
