Was so excited to visit the Newks in Pascagoula since Gulfport is a bit of a drive, however was disappointed in the service. I placed an online order and it was not ready yet (which was fine, I arrived 5 minutes early) and the white girl with the glasses and low bun behind the counter acted like she didn’t want to check on the order for me. Eventually she sent someone in the kitchen to check and I sat down and waited. Another lady came in and someone out of the kitchen brought her order directly to her. I waited and waited and waited and no update on my order. The girl walked by at least 5 times and avoided me, knowing at this point the expected time had passed and I had been sitting over 15 minutes. Managers and other workers came out and stood behind the counter because it was so slow and still no one pointed out that my order had been brought to the to go station instead of handed to me (like the other customer) or even notified me it was even there for me to get! I guess the bigger concern was sending workers home because it was too slow rather than investigating why I had been still sitting.. anywho, don’t pick and choose who is supposed to get their food from the to go station and who it’s okay to hand food off to (which the girl made sure she kept repeating when I initially walked in that to go orders are at the to go station, although at that time mine wasn’t) and also notify the person that you are placing their order at the to go station where they can’t see it if you aren’t gonna hand it to me like the previous customer. More staff at the counter playing on phones but still had to order at a kiosk, then we're in the back, you can tell because of the windows, second red flag. Receipt conveniently details order time and due time, 10 minutes for a sandwich, ok. Shows up at 15 minutes and looks thrown together with the bottom of the barrel discards, and the staff member that brings it out, has this look about them as if to say 'don't ask me for nothing else, cuz I don't know where it is'. Read moreYesterday, was my second and last time going to this location. It is very cute looking and brand new but SUCKING AT CUSTOMER SERVICES!!! I had worked in customer services for over 6 yrs and I can tell you when someone just sucks at it. These people have no enthusiasm about working, their tone of voice, the sad faces and the body language just makes it very unpleasant to be there. They looked very lost. The food was cold; they had us waiting there like idiots 🥴🥴 To add, they need a Policy that states “WE DO NOT ASSIST OR SERVE IF IT IS 8 o clock” for my understanding the restaurant closes at 9.
