5 star — 1 star. Rice and Noodles used to be a great little dive, with delicious Asian cuisine. I would always recommend it to friends who were looking for a new place to eat. I left a 5 star google review here a few years back.
I really don’t know what’s changed, but the food my wife and I got was some of the worst food I’ve bought from a restaurant in my entire life. I want to be clear that I don’t normally leave bad reviews on local restaurants, as it can have an impact on their business. I’ll make an exception for the meal I had. The chowmein I got was downright terrible, I felt sick after eating it, it was covered in this thick grease that left a puddle, the meat was stringy with a weird texture. I couldn’t finish it. The Phad Thai my wife got had chicken meat that was clearly prepared the day before, it tasted the same as when I microwave leftovers.
I feel bad leaving this review, as I used to love this place, however, something needs to change. If you run Rice and Noodles and are reading this, I’m not writing this out of spite, I genuinely wish for the restaurant to return to its...
Read moreI have never left a restaurant review in my life. I have also never received food this concerning. I ordered pork fried rice and a California roll. Traditionally California rolls are not served hot, but at least those were edible. I also ordered the pork fried rice and my pork is grey!!! The rice is also so soggy it is comparable to the worst mashed potatoes you could imagine. I thought fried rice should be cooked more since its fried? Whats worse is i called and the response from the restaurant was incredibly casual as though grey meat is acceptable. It was only when I reminded him that bad pork can make people really sick and he should know better than to say it was okay that he was finally sympathetic.
Be better, I like to support local business....
Read moreINSTANT RAMEN FOR THE PRICE OF HOMEMADE. I decided to try this place out and was quite disappointed. I ordered a bubble tea and some spicy chicken ramen. It wasn't terrible, but I could tell straight from the start that the ramen was instant. There was none of the homemade richness you get from broth, it tasted exactly like the packaged stuff with the seasoning packet. Sure, they threw some vegis and a couple pieces of chicken in there, but for $15, it was underwhelming. Authentic ramen is one of those dishes you go to a restaurant for, and this ramen I could have made at home for a few bucks. The service was fine, no complaints there, but I'm not sure I will be giving this place...
