First and last time at this location. My hubby and I usually visit the location on Wickeden St in Providence but wanted to go to another spot due to the bad traffic in Providence. First - their direction with pick up or sit is confusing, the location is setup like a fine dining restaurant but with a to go area in the center that resembles a staff pickup area. Second - they had one waitress/bartender working who had seconds to think. We overlooked her walking by our table and just throwing napkins our way, grabbing my husband's drink cup when he didnt ask for a refill, and randomly cleaning the table while we were still sitting at it. Third - I ordered at the take out window but informed the worker we'd be sitting. 5 minutes later our pizza was in the window and then immediately removed. We waited a few minutes to see if the waitress would end up with it but no. I had to go to the takeout window, where the worker told me the food wasn't ready yet as she was lifting them up from under the window where they were sitting since she pulled them in to be delivered by the waitress. Being insulted like that had me shaking in anger but I was starving. Fourth - we ordered chicken wings on their menu for $14 and were charged $14.50, no upcharges are listed on their menu and we didn't ask for anything extra. We explained all our concerns to the waitress who didn't seem to care. The only thing done was my hubbys 2nd slice of pizza was reheated, to then have it brought over by the worker behind the counter, she sat it down and stated "here's your pizza after it's second time cooked"
We will NOT be returning to this location, EVER, even if it was the last one around. We have none of these issues at the Providence locations. I provided my rewards number but was never told if anything was added. Doubt we'll hear from anyone since they didn't even care about us while...
Read moreThis is a fun place with a lot of variety in the types of pizza slices offered. I recommend the tomato basil. They also have a variety of appetizers, salads, wraps, drinks, and other menu items. I have been here twice with my nephew; they are kid friendly, and he really enjoyed it. You can grab a slice or more to go or sit down at either the bar or a table. The quality of the ingredients is better than most pizza places- there are real greens in the salad, not iceberg, for example. I got the pizza delivered once and it arrived soggy, so I make it a point now to go in if I'm craving a slice of tomato basil. It is a thin crust pizza which just didn't hold up well in the amount of time it took to deliver. I have yet to try the fried green beans with wasabi dipping sauce and the dessert pizza, two menu items that have caught my eye. Not everything I've tried has been spectacular, but everything has been solid. The service has always...
Read moreBest pizza around these here parts.
I won’t bore you with subjective measures. Let’s talk facts: The crust is crisp and flaky. It has body without being chewy. It’s not dry but it there’s only the smallest puddle of olive oil left on the paper plate. It holds the thick cheese and toppings without flopping away. Only the tip of the pizza droops without a folded grip. The toppings are popping fresh, generous and juicy. Every tomato and Basil leaf tastes like it was picked today. Every chicken chunk or beefy bit seems straight from the butcher. The cheese is evenly layered and blanketed thick so even a small bite is a mouthful. The sauce is robust yet refined. Thick enough to be noticed, complex enough to be interesting, but mature enough to politely give the stage to its cast mates.
