I wish I could describe how much I love this place without writing a five-page essay of a review. But it is nearly impossible. I found Sandwich Queen after the gym one afternoon with a friend a few months back, and the experience was fantastic. I was greeted by tasty smells and the most wholesome man I have probably ever met, Wayman, the owner. He firmly shook my and my friend's hands, asked our names, and welcomed us to his establishment. The man just has a certain charm and makes even a terrible day much better. I feel like sometimes I go here just to talk to the man and then I get a sandwich along with the experience of chatting with Wayman. On the topic of the sandwiches, oh boy. I have yet to try most of them, only a handful. But the first sandwich I had, the Aloha, was just phenomenal. It became instantly one of my favorite foods I've had. Unless it's a special occasion where I'm going to a semi-fancy restaurant, I usually don't tip often. But I've made sure that I tip every time I order here.
But genuinely, this place is awesome and...

I got the Chicago beef sandwich again and the bun was perfectly toasted, meat was juicy and tender, had wonderfully seasoned au jus, the giardiniera was so good and it was piled on the sandwich! I'm posting pictures of today's visit as well and I'm changing my review from 3 stars to 5!
I got a Chicago beef sandwich with provolone added and let's just say it wasn't what I expected. I love Chicago beef sandwiches, they are known for their healthy portion of giardiniera, and the au jus that is soaked into the bread. The sandwich I received tonight was very dry. Had amazing flavor when I got a taste of giardiniera, and it was served with no au jus. I'm going back because there was potential, maybe they had an off night, and the beef was seasoned so good. I will update how the second sandwich is. There is a picture below to show how little giardiniera there was. Remember, this is not traditionally served...

If you had to choose one, choose the pastrami. If you have a date get the roast beef and pastrami and share. The flavor of the pastrami is perfect and the horseradish sauce on the roast beef is well balanced. Not spicy at all. Both came on a nice light bread roll. Definitely would recommend this to anyone passing through on the freeway looking for a quick bite or enjoying time in downtown Payson.
Edit: Went again and I can confirm the Philly is awesome. The bell papers are not soggy and drenched but have their own flavor. The owner hooked us up with a complimentary soup of the day for helping with the iPad (select your tip before inserting your card) and again, these guys donāt miss, the broccoli...
