I'm not one to post about things like this but I feel this is an extreme case. My family and I went to Crane Garden Asian Bistro this evening and the food was great (reviews were right) BUT when I got the check I noticed some of the prices were off, okay not some, all. I was being charged anywhere from $1.00 extra to $2.49 extra per item. When I approached the manager she said that there was fine print on the menu that explained they have the right to change prices without notice. I am not a lawyer but we should have been told those prices were incorrect before we ordered. She mentioned they are in the process of getting new menus. I am appalled at this. I mean seriously, how hard is it to put some tape on the old menus and write new prices? If a grocery store did this I imagine there would be serious consequences. We were charged an extra $10.62 on our bill that should have only been $39.80 (subtotals). I have included menu prices (not taken by me) and a picture of my receipt. If they are doing this to every customer just imagine how much money that can add up to. I understand prices have gone up everywhere in the last year and I am okay with that. What I am not okay with is falsely advertising an incorrect price. I encourage you to PLEASE check your receipts if you eat here and if there is anyone who knows if this is an illegal action please let me know. I hate to cause drama but if a company is taking place in an illegal act I believe the proper consequences should follow.

When I was a kid I didn’t have the pallet to be picky about my Chinese food. Now I know better and believe me when I tell you there is nowhere that I ask my husband if we can go to, except here. That’s because hands down they are the best!!! their food hasn’t been sitting under a heater lamp. The ingredients are fresh, delicious and crave worthy. Their orange, sesame and teriyaki sauces are fantastic and the fried chicken shrimp and pork have the right crispy texture with a tender middle. Their grilled shrimp is large warm and buttery, their curry makes your nose run because it kicks up your adrenaline but it’s not abrasive, the coconut milk in it is evident the flavors are the right ratio blend. Their lo mein noodles are perfectly tender and smooth for slurping. The broth is savory and addictive with the noodles in the udon soup dishes. It’s definitely worth coming back over and over. Come out for Trying new things cause you won’t be disappointed and come out for trying dishes you love and you won’t be disappointed there either. Also the staff is very attentive and friendly the owner is a hard worker and assures your satisfaction.

First time order with Door Dash. Super impressed with the quick delivery. I ordered the lunch combo Pon Pon chicken with noodles, the cream cheese wontons, and hot and sour soup. The chicken wasn't very crispy, but that seems on par with most chinese food places. The flavor was good. Noodles were okay. I'd try the rice next time. The wontons were awesome! I also loved the hot and sour soup. It actually had a kick to it which I like. Serving size was generous. Two of us shared the order and it was plenty of food. I'd like to try the sushi rolls next time. They have a lot of offerings that look appetizing. Keep in mind that this is defintely American Chinese food, which isn't bad, but know just going into it.

I had heard great things about this place and was excited to try. I have several notes on Crane Garden. Firstly back in December my husband and I had come in to sit and dine for a special occasion and had been looking forward to it all day since it would be our first time. We walked into the restaurant and made eye contact with not one, not two, but FOUR employees, I smiled at them and they gave me a nasty look and not one of them said hello. I understand being busy as I was a server myself but it only takes a few seconds to say “Hello, we’ll be right with you.” We continued to sit and wait for 10 minutes and again serval staff members looked at us and no one said a word. We were so frustrated we left. Today I thought I would give them a second chance and try the food via delivery since the service was so bad. The food was worst. The hot and sour soup was sweet and tasted old, the mushrooms were undercooked which hints to me that the soup was not prepared correctly. The chicken skewers were raw and did not come with any sauce. The sushi was subpar and tasted like the fish may have been bad. For my sushi I was given the smallest cup no bigger than the size of a quarter. Both the wasabi and the ginger were stuffed in there together. You can forget using the ginger as a pallet refresher because its overwhelmed with all of the wasabi all over it. I absolutely regret giving this place a try. Heed my warning and go someplace else, not worth the money, food...

Ordered take out. Looking through their menu on their official website, the prices looked good so I tried to order. Unfortunately it said that their website ordering was down so I had to place a call in order. The employee was difficult to understand as there was background noise but I understood it’ll be ready in 15 minutes.

One I arrived, the meal was over 2 times as much as I had expected. I showed the employee the online menu on their site and he said “Oh that’s over 5 years old. You needed to look at the DoorDash prices”.

  1. I wasn’t ordering through DoorDash so… what? DoorDash also added a fee so that was a rip off.
  2. OVER 5 YEARS AGO AND YOU HAVEN’T CHANGED THE PRICES?! Either update the website or take it down because that’s ridiculous false advertisement.

I decided to be the bigger person and stop arguing since the employee didn’t care to even apologize. I got a Teriyaki Bento and a California roll. (About $32 Total - Yikes).

The teriyaki bento was your typical takeout sweet teriyaki but the chicken still had the skin on it. Kind of weird as that’s not standard but not awful. The California roll had way too much Japanese mayo that overpowered the roll. You also only get 6 tiny pieces (smaller than a typical sushi roll) for like $7.50.

Overall, this place isn’t worth it. The staff are unfriendly and unhelpful, even for something as simple as takeout. The food wouldn’t even be worth the “official website prices” but expect to be blindsided...
