Winchester Escape House is easily one my favorite escape rooms I ever experienced. We got a recommendation from another escape room we enjoyed, and it completely lived up to the hype. The design is exceptionally well done and creative—it’s not just a bunch of padlocks everywhere. They’ve incorporated some really clever contraptions and puzzles that kept the experience fresh and exciting from start to finish.
This was a fantastic experience for a group date, and we had so much fun! If you're planning a night out, this place is definitely worth the trip, even if it’s a bit of a drive. Our group is already looking forward to going back to try Butch Cassidy’s Great Escape – Part 2, and we’re excited about their new room, Tesla’s Laboratory Disaster. If you’re into escape rooms or just looking for something different to do, you should definitely check this place out.

Read moreAbsolutely fantastic! The best escape rooms I've ever been to! The puzzles are so creative and exciting, and the rooms are so well decorated and immersive! MORE than worth $18 per person. Most of the escape rooms around the valley are $30 minimum. Get in while it's still cheap!
The staff were so nice and accomadating as well! We showed up 15 minutes late one time, and since they had the space, they let us go anyway. We finished late with one of the rooms, and they let us finish. When there were some problems with one of the puzzles, the attendant quickly came to help.
We did the pirate-themed immersion room, which was completely worth the $12. The puzzles were engaging, and even though the scope was limited, we had a blast--and will be going back for all of the others.
I will also be waiting with baited breath for their Tesla-themed room so I can be there. This place really does have high-quality escape rooms, and I look forward...
Read moreWe would highly recommend the Winchester Escape House in Payson! We did the Butch Cassidy room. This was the 4th escape house we've done (1 in NY, 1 in TX, 1 in MN, and 1 in UT) and it was fun, had unexpected twists, do-able (because the fun is in actually escaping), and very affordable. Without giving anything away, we enjoyed moving between rooms, clues that advanced the plot, personal touches that will be revealed when you do it, having to return to previous rooms sometimes, great theme elements like the saloon, post office and telegraph, and all of the mechanisms that create fun surprises. My two teenage daughters described it as "it was AWESOME, there were so many cool things in it," and "super cool escape room." We will definitely return and try the other escape options available here when in...
