Wee Blu Inn Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Payson

Let’s be clear, their food is pretty good. But unfortunately the management is less savory. We were hired to provide entertainment and it was a constant battle in negotiating for payment. After months we finally settled and were a week from the show. But they canceled it days before due to money. After begging us to lower our price we agreed on a free trial show with the promise of 2 more paid no matter the out come. A month later we show up and they didn’t hold to their promises by advertising it to their patrons. They hadn’t passed out our flyers. They didn’t put our name on their marquee as promised. They hadn’t even set up chairs and a sound system for us. No one came to the show and the ownership refused to speak to us about our inquiries other than “You guys figure it out.” We did the show best we could and left. I still have yet to hear back from them about a second and third promised paid show, but frankly I’d rather not get taken advantage again. Our last visit to the Wee Blu was as follows: We were greeted at the door with smiles and immediately asked what we would like to drink. (very nice!) I got quarters for pool and the hubby went off to go sign us up for karaoke. (Perfect beginning to a perfect night, right?) Refills are ALWAYS fast and there is ALWAYS someone to talk to. It is packed on Karaoke nights and I wish that they had more of them. We come down for karaoke because everyone makes it so much fun and they have KJ's with great music choices! My compliments to the great bartenders gatekeepers, and karoke DJs. What a great job you do!! To the wonderful owner, please have karaoke every weekend. I honestly have to say that I am severely disappointed that I cannot come to the Wee Blu on a Friday or Satuday night because there is a band. I cannot show up and spend my money on band nights because there is usually no one is there and I am bored to tears. BUT, I spend money when I am having a great time. I've read all the reviews on here that I can see. As a former employee, I can say this, the owner (who is not trashy) is a vary caring and giving person. She will listen to your concerns, compliments and complaints and address them accordingly. They do fundraisers to help the community and people in the community, not to mention donations for events in the community. The staff that works there currently are some great people and enjoy doing their job. They do try to make it as hospitable as possible. They are eager to serve, trust me when it is super, crazy busy, they hurry to get to you. It can be overwhelming when you have a full bar, but they do the best they can. I now go in as a patron and do not know all of the newer employees, but still receive friendly service. The food is delicious, drinks are cheap, the place is clean and it's a good place to socialize where you don't have to be a certain way to fit in. It's pretty kicked back.
