I have worked customer service for over 33 years. I totally enjoy Carrabba's food, but lately ordering from takeout service is becoming the worst experience. This is the second time I have ordered, and the food is not delivered on schedule and without problems. I waited for the first time for over 1.5 hours and was told by the manager that my food was given to other customers. It was cold waiting in the car, and I was very disappointed. This information was not provided until I inquired about the delay of my order. I ordered last night 01.11.24, I should have given up after the first problem, but again as I stated I love their food. I place my order at 5pm, with a designated pick-up time of 6pm. I arrived at the restaurant parking lot at 555pm. I was the only person/car in the lot when I arrived. Shortly after 2 cars pulled in, and the car to my left waited about 15 mins and walked into the restaurant and returned with her food. I decided to go into the restaurant after waiting 30 mins (6:29pm), only to find my food sitting on the counter. I asked the guy if my food had been sitting for 30min, he replied to no. Eager to leave because my family was waiting, I decided to call the restaurant manager to voice my complaint as this has happened twice to me. Here is the problem, I spoke to a young lady by the name of Kayla. I had to ask her 3 times is she was the manager on duty, and after the 3 times she finally replied yes. I should have realized this was not going to go well with the way she answers the call. After explaining the problem to her, she responded very rudely with we have 20 orders, and only 2 people working, and I needed to come inside to get my food. Remember I said when I arrived no other cars were in the parking lot. I said to her, is this your response to a customer, and she said yes. No apology whatsoever, therefore, I stated I will email Corporate. She hangs up the phone on a customer. Now this is surely not a customer problem. The restaurant is understaffed, how does a customer know the number of orders the restaurant is working on? The restaurant can text me, they are working on my order, why not text to come in to get my order. It's the restaurant's obligation to provide good service not the customer. I have ordered probably over 50 times and have catered on several occasions and coming inside has not been the way placing your order in the past. My food was definitely cold, I did not receive bread with my order, and not to mention the rudeness, unprofessional, and disrespect of the manager Kayla. I think it's time to choose another restaurant, as I can deal with a few problems, but not rude customer service, and...
Read moreThe Carrabba's I've been to in the past were really nice and one of my favorite Italian restaurant experiences, but those places had ambiance, which was the highlight for me (big round family tables, fireplace, open view of the kitchen, dim lighting, firelight at the table center) whereas this place was just like every other eatery on the block. It has been a while since I've been to a Carrabba's though so maybe they've all changed. We had a party of 5 adults & 4 kids, were seated immediately, but the biggest issue was the wait for our food. While I'm aware it takes longer when you have more people, they weren't very busy, yet the wait was extreme, plus I think our waitress struggled to do her job. She was nice and it didn't seem like she was new, just incompetent for that job. So, the bread for the table took a bit to come out, and came before our drinks, a fau pau, imo. Salads took a while too but it wasn't a terribly unreasonable wait, but salads should come out with the bread, again imo as it pairs well with salad. Also, we were missing dressings on 2 of the 3 ordered. When they brought the sauce covered pasta dishes out, they looked like they'd been sitting for a while, like the sauce was dried out and 2 people complained theirs were cold but didn't say anything to the waitress because we had just come from a 3 hour show & were all hungry. My steak had good seasoning and was cooked as ordered. One person ordered something to go when we put in our original order but it was not ready as we were finishing up. We waited another 15 minutes and decided to cancel it and our waitress didn't say anything but walked away, which we thought she was getting our bills because we'd already asked for them, but we didn't see her for at least another 5 minutes after having been in the restaurant for over two hours. Instead of canceling she did bring the to-go order out but didn't charge us, but walked off again without communicating. Another 5-10 minutes later, we got our bills, which management did reduce without us asking, which is why I gave 3 stars and do consider most was probably due to our waitresses incompetence, but if that's the case, I feel like management should step, or have one of the 4 other waitresses to help out who were huddled together at the entrance, a couple not doing anything for a long time. At least say thank you for your patience. We never heard that from our waitress or management. I haven't looked at other reviews. Maybe this was a rare occurrence, but unfortunately it's probably ruined me for visiting...

It was a Tuesday night the resturant was filled with Kids traveling on charter bus but the staff was very organized however, My wife and I felt the tension the min we walked in. The host seemed annoyed that we asked for a booth and some customer was just mean mugging us but later I thought maybe the look was directed at us maybe she was also unsatisfied with her food idk but it was unsettling.
My wife loves this place and chicken Bryant is her go to dish. I ordered the Steak and shrimp pasta dish iI forget the name, however ...
The picture on menu and what I received looked vastly different. There were 3 little steak nuggest and 4 shrimps on a huge bed of watery pasta and a few spinach it was very underwhelming for what I paid but I looked passed it because the Chicken Bryan looked exceptionally good and my wife said it tasted amazing, she was happy. A guy brought our plates and before he left my wife asked if he could take our salad plates. He seemed annoyed and confused and gave my wife a look and said your waitress will get it and hurried to the back. I just assumed they were very busy in the back because of all the kids ordering at this point however,it was an odd but brief interaction. After eatting a little I immediately felt nauseous but we stayed a little longer to enjoy the atmosphere. Our waitress I forgot her name but it begins with a "K" didnt see her much she was nice and made us feel welcomed. My wife had a good time but I needed to go because I was ill and it only got worse that night. I felt better by Wed morning but it was a rough night. My wife thought I had a bug until Wed for dinner I ate the pasta we took home from dinner the night before and immediately felt sick again but this was more severe. That night I broke out in a cold sweat, nausea, headache and I almost passed out from dizziness trying to get to the bathroom at 3am. I am a fairly fit person and it has been years since I have been this sick. I wanted to go to Urgent Care but couldn't get to my wife to wake her so I laid on the floor until I could stand. I finaly went back to sleep and it was the best sleep ever. The next day I survived off crackers, preztle, Gatorade, water, and ginger tea.It is now Sat and I am just not well enough to write a review. I dont understand what was in the dish or what the cooks could have done to cause my illnesses but I've already told my wife I will never eat at Carrabbas again. Beware of the pasta and eat...
