Used to frequent about once a week. Our daughter loves the driving game and hubby loves the tv's. Will NEVER go back. My husband and I have been in and dealt with the restaurant/customer service industry for more 40 years. We have never been treated more disrespectfully as we were on this visit. We are so beyond understanding of wait times due to staffing shortages. Understand longer wait time due to fewer tables for social distancing. I don't understand, however, how anyone in management would think it's okay to seat 3 employees from another taco Mac that walk in ahead of waiting customers. How do I know this happened? I heard and watched it happen. After the trio was told they were not allowed to sit at the bar even though they were employees at another locations, they (apparently) were put on the call ahead and immediately seated at the only open both. We were next to be seated. Granted, in a very calm person, but we had been waiting for over 35 minutes by now on a week day. I approached the management team. I can describe them but neglected to get names. I will get them..trust me. I was told that the trio was on the call ahead and when I advised that I knew they were employees seated ahead of my family I was greeted with a very smug and rude, 'You are correct. Would you like to be sat now you're next?' I simply walked back over to the table we were waiting at, picked up my daughters menu, and while my back was turned, he kept calling loudly at me, 'Do you want to be sat now?'. I walked over to the hottest stand and put the menus and crayons down and told him no thank you and that I felt it would have been more professional al of him to lie than to act that way. He began to state loudly that I shouldn't have made a big deal about it and that 'We want a trustworthy relationship with our customers so you can leave'..it was at this point my husband became involved. We are originally from New York, but have lived in the area for well over 30 years. When I tell you my husband was a gentleman, believe me, he was. He simply stated that this young man better watch the way he spoke to me. Np cursing. No foul language. No threats. Nothing. I think this young man had waited his whole career for this night. He snapped. Threatened my husband, banned him from 'his' Taco Mac, asked for his name, refused to give his, then threatened to call the police! It was crazy! There was another gentleman there, red hair and beard. So sweet. Didn't say a word, but his eyes were kind. He looked so embarrassed and sorry. When the little one kept saying (yelling) have a good night over and over my husband did lose it and called him a not so nice name. At that point I apologized to him for the language, told him he needed to find a new job because his attitude wasn't welcome, and we left. So there's my review. Take it...
Read moreI’ve literally eaten here a multitude of times. I went in tonight to have wings and a brew - I tried to sit at a high top was told only the bar was opened. Sat at the bar ordered a beer and wings. My wings came out cold - I had 1/3 of my beer and my waitress refused to serve me anything else because the manager said I slurred my words getting up from the high top. I literally just dropped my kiddo off at a friends and was hungry so stopped in. There were several intoxicated folks there. I didn’t even finish my wings and had a 1/3 of a beer and I was refused anything else. I asked the manager -“Am I not articulate, do I seem intoxicated, there are dozens of intoxicated folks here, I ordered one drink. You alleged I sounded intoxicated when being asked to move from a high top which gave you reason to believe “I wasn’t normal” - I was humiliated, called a Karen, and falsely accused. I should’ve called PTCPD. I will not be back. Everyone has a job to do, those accusations were unfair. I am flabbergasted. Poor management, poor judgement, and the fact that I just walked in from dropping my kid at a friends after cleaning all day and being home, came in just to eat and all of these intoxicated folks continuously being served by my being judged irrationally tells you there is bias. Do better. If I was dressed to the 9’s which is usual aside from today, and just as articulate intelligent and human as usual I wouldn’t have been judged. I will not be back. Incredibly incriminating, embarrassing, and sad. When ask how I didn’t seem normal - it was the way I moved from a high top to an open bar seat but you served me anyway, then to be called a Karen. Low class, poor management, poor judgement, and clearly this place needs EQ training. Just sad. How humiliating and for nothing. The manager with the nose ring is who said she made her best judgement for the restaurant - but did she. I am not saying she wasn’t trying her best but I was discriminated against, I was judged. I came in for a bite after a very long day. There were men yelling, taunting, intoxicated, and belligerent yet I was singled out. Managers like these and establishments like these are why women continue to not be treated equitably and I for one will not stand for it. Do better Taco Mac, do better night...
Read moreThe Food & Atmosphere was good. Now the Service, was at the top I can give 0. Need to have negative star for over all. We waited to long for someone to ask if we wanted even water. So I ask for the manager, explain my concern. Now the manager ask what we needed for drinks. She put in our drink order, then came back explaining why the server didn't help. Apparently she didn't know we were her table. I ask if every server has a designated area. Reason I ask I use to work restaurant before. She said " yes ", but made an excuse. So the manager took our order. After taking the order, she ask if we wanted chips and salsa. So we said of course we'll take it. So time had passed, the server finally ask if we wanted more drinks. We mentioned that we are waiting for the chips & salsa that was offered to us. Our order came to us, we order wings, two burgers with fries and some tacos. When I looked at my burger I mention how McDonald's burgers are bigger and a whole lot cheaper. Now the tacos and other burger was good my family mention. Now mine was small and mediorkert. The wings should be there main food. They were good. So then the manager came and check on us, I mentioned how we had to wait on chips & salsa. Her response was she forgot to put them in the system. She ask if we wanted dessert on the house, now the dessert was amazing, especially the croceraint donuts were the bomb with the chocolate & straw sauce. So it's time to go, guess what, we waited, and waited, and waited for the check. We waited on the service, we waited on chips, and then have to wait for the check. Not good. So when the check came we went over it. We were charge for the chips & salsa. We look at each other and said, didn't we were offer chips & salsa. Figure since your name Taco Mac, chips should be free. Now they didn't charge for a Dr. Pepper, and a Mojito. Now from being from California I would not come back, but as far as my family living here, I can't say. The Food was good, but the service was really bad, so bad she didn't even...
