The only good thing I can say is that the tamales are good. The beans are consistently cold. The customer service today was absolutely terrible. It was during rush hour and they were packed. We ordered 2 meals (tamale/beans/rice) and a to-go order. We got the 2 tamales on a single plate with just a fork and knife. Minutes later, we got a single plate of beans with a spoon. No rice ever came. Our meals only consisted of 1 tamale and some beans each. We worked out the eating utensils with what we were given, and later asked the man who took our order if we were supposed to get rice with our meals. Beside us, the man was conversing with the woman that served us and it turns out that they had forgotten to bring the rice to us so they asked if we wanted it with our to-go order and we said yes. Since we bought 2 meals, we were supposed to get 2 servings. When we went to pay, they tried to charge us $3 for a single small serving of rice! We tried numerous times to explain to the cashier what had happened and they kept arguing with us that we had to pay for the rice. After a couple of minutes, they went back to supposedly speak to someone and came back with the same story, even though at least 2 people in the restaurant area knew the situation. I finally told the cashier to forget the rice and we ended up paying full price for 2 meals, while only receiving 2/3 of the meals. As much as I do enjoy the tamales, I will absolutely not...

This is the type of food that I dream about eating when I go to sleep. The type of food I start craving out of nowhere. If you haven't tried it yet, I wholeheartedly recommend everything here.

I've always been an enchilada hater, but I think it was because I never found a good one and the Enchiladas Verdes here blew my socks off. I am a fan now, it was genuinely the BEST one I've ever had. The mexican rice and beans as a side were phenomenal when eaten together. They were okay separately, but I mixed the two together and they were mind blowing. I have also tried their chorizo and chicken taco. I'm a chicken fan but their chorizo takes the cake. That chorizo taco with the two sauces that they give you will stay on your mind until you drop by again. I've had their pollo de crema and I don't know what I expected from the chicken but it was so creamy, flavorful, and filling. It paired excellent with their in-house sauces. Now, the best thing I've tried there so far is their chicken torta. I dream about this torta till this day, I long to go back just for this one thing and it's the whole reason I'm writing this review. Try it with the sauces.

I need to try their birria tacos next time I go back.

Food ratings: Enchilada - 7.5/10 Mexican rice - 7/10 Beans - 8/10 Chicken taco - 8/10 Pollo de crema - 9/10 Chorizo taco - 9.4/10 Chicken torta - 9.5/10

The customer service has been fantastic every time...

Every time I come to this location (which has only been three times recently), they somehow change the price on me. I always order the same thing, but each visit brings a new surprise charge. This time, after purchasing a burrito to go, they told me I had to pay extra for the side sauce — something that has never been mentioned before and is not posted anywhere on their signage or menu. It was embarrassing and frustrating to be told this after I had already paid. To make things worse, I’ve also had issues with the products they sell. Some of the tortillas I’ve bought here were covered in a white film and had no visible expiration date — once I got home, I realized they were rotten. I’ve also noticed that several items on their shelves are expired, so you really have to double-check everything before buying. The only reason I’ve ever come back is because of their orange sauce, which is really good — but honestly, it’s not worth dealing with the rude service, constant price changes, and questionable product quality. I hate how they treat...

I had La Mexicana on a list for a while because I'm on the lookout for a cemita sandwich. We drove 90 minutes for the cemita, so imagine my disappointment when the guy said there's no cemita. We were very sad and was going to just leave but decided to try the steak burrito and the steak huarache. It wasn't a cemita but it was a damn good flavorful burrito. The huarache is hard to find and it was one of the best, with a homemade bean filled corn tortilla topped with lettuce, onion, steak, and corona. There is some confusion about paying because you have to go to the front of the grocery store to pay after you eat. Make sure to ask for your food ticket when you order. Not sure I will be willing to drive that far for the disappointment of not getting a cemita, but if I lived near Peachtree City, will definitely eat here again for authentic Mexican food.

Had to call the police on the aggressive manager! Horrible experience. If your are not Mexican BEWARE (other reviewers have noted the same). My wife had to call the police on the manager after she became extremely aggressive. My family frequents this restaurant often. Unfortunately today the food we received contained spoiled food that smelled rancid. The manager refused to refund us for the food after acknowledging it had a spoiled smell. When my wife attempted to return the food, the manager violently snatched the food away from her and through it in the trash and floor and told her that she would not refund the money. When the police arrived we were able to get half of our money back.

This cafe is inside a grocery store like all taquerias. In the eatery section the vibe was a comfortable cafeteria. It was easy to walk up and order but we did have a little wait for our food. The cemita was well worth the wait, though. The bread had a crispy crust with a soft interior. The breaded chicken cutlet was so thin that the bite was really balanced with the avocado, cheese and cabbage. Really refreshing and a great combination of textures, married perfectly. My only complaint is that they were a little stingy on the sauce. Otherwise, just perfection. I've never had a better sandwich in my entire life.
