Lillie Js Kitchen (Carribean)-Norcross, GA Review We arrived at 7:30 PM The atmosphere was nice, there were no other customers there when our party of 10 walked in. We chatted with the bartender for a minute, she was filling in for someone and no knowledge of the types of liquors and what to mix them with (no biggy). We were seated and gave out drink orders, it took a few minutes longer to get our drinks as there only seem to be one bartender and 1 server. When I got my drink is was warm, so I had to ask for ice. Now it's time to order, as we were ordering we discovered the were out of pull apart oxtail buns, oxtails and white rice. Also, the rice was considered a side dish, although there were turkey wings, coconut curry shrimp, curry chicken...so if you didn't want peas and rice you didn't get rice (you should never run out of white rice). So now the orders are in, 1 meal was brought uncharacteristically fast, it was about 5-10 minutes before that table received thier meal, she basically ate alone, or her food would have been cold. Then I received my food, then for what reason the last 4 of us got nothing, my cousin had to go the the bar and ask our service where thier food was. So salmon, another coconut curry shrimp, jersey chicken and fried chicken took another 10 minutes, only to find out they ran out of chicken and it was replaced with Chen tenders, whew auntie wasn't having it. So she wanted it replaced with turkey wings, they were out in less than 5 minutes. My cousin asked to have his packed to go since it took so long to get. The food was really good once we got it. Now it's time to pay, we all used credit card except 1 table. We allmlooked at our totals and was a little surprised, but ok. Now we are signing our receipts, I notice a "non cash adjustment", I asked what it was, the server said "oh, because you used a card". So $4, because I didn't have cash, it was not posted anywhere nor on the ticket there would be a card usage surcharge...so as I looked further, we has the incorrect drinks on our checks, no biggy we will fix later we were all together and had already swiped our cards. I am not sure we would go back. I don't see them being in business long. They would need to make a few adjustments on the menu and the surcharge. I saved the 22% gratuity for last, parties of 4 or more...that is problematic in it self, but there was 10 of use, the automatic gratuity on poor service is an issue for me, it would have been 15% at best...but the...
Read moreThis was my first visit, and it was horrible. It was quite a few us for a family gathering. We arrived at 7:30pm ordered our food around 8ish and did not receive our food until after 10pm. Some family members ordered before we did and still had not received their food. We were told at the time we ordered, the only thing left to choose from on our custom menu was fried chicken. Once my food came out, I was given two small chicken tenders. When I inquired, I was told they were out of fried chicken 🙃 The staff were in such of a hurry to get out of there, they were picking up unfinished plates while we paused eating to take pictures. My cousin barely got two bites from her plate, and reported it to our waiter, and was told they were out of food. I asked to speak with the manager who was extremely unprofessional with a terrible attitude. I explained to her what happened and if her food could not be replaced, can she make sure she's not charged. Her response was " well we gave out double food to people" I explained to her that had nothing to do with the individual at hand we're referring to who's food was taken off the table. If double food was given it had nothing to do with us. She then stated, they were not knowledgeable or prepared to service the amount of people that were present. Again, I told her we have nothing to do with that part and we pre paid for our meals. We would like the meal replaced or a refund. She then stated, "all we have is chicken and cabbage left. Do she want that!" Keep in mind our meals came with one meat, two sides, and one specialty drink. This could have easily been rectified in a decent manner, but the manager lacked professionalism and problem solving skills which makes the entire establishment look bad. If you have a large party, this is not the place to go! We were also charged approximately $100 dollars for three drinks and a shot. After looking over the bill thoroughly, we noticed we were charged for more than we ordered. The bartender was very professional, apologized and refunded our money immediately. I drove almost an hour to meet my family that were visiting from different states and my son came home from college to meet us all. It was very dissapointing and not a good experience at all. Especially for the amount of money we spent at this...
