Give this place all of the stars! The food is spectacular, the staff is friendly and professional, and the owner/manager (Rozeb Momin) is extremely accommodating! My husband and I came here for lunch one day as dine-in customers. It was our first visit, and Rozeb walked us through all of our menu questions. EVERYTHING was delicious! I actually had leftovers to take home! And that was the hook for me... leftovers. The next day I ate my leftovers and they were so darn good I wished I had more than just leftover portions! The next time I visited, was an experiment. Here's the thing... we live in Stone Mountain, and this place is located in Peachtree Corners Norcross... 22 miles from our home. It is kinda a far drive for regular visits if you don't have any other reason to be there. So, I asked Rozeb if I could somehow order everything deconstructed to take home. He said, OF COURSE! I ordered a few different menu items, and everything came deconstructed and packed to travel. It was perfect! I order bulk and my husband and I can eat on it for (legit) like six meals! If I go in on a Friday, we usually eat on it all weekend and finish off leftovers on Monday. I have continued to return for deconstructed to-go orders, and Rozeb always remembers me. At this point, I have ordered much of what is on the menu, and my husband and I have figured out what we like best, and Rozeb helps us order in a way that assures we get the perfect combination of our favorites! The chicken shawarma is our favorite! And theirs is the BEST tzatziki sauce I've ever had! That being said, during my most recent visit I noticed something I the menu that I had not noticed before. I'm not sure how I overlooked it since we love dips and sauces, but somehow I had never heard of SHATTA sauce. Dude! This stuff is the real deal! If you love FLAVOR and SPICE, then SHATTA sauce is for you! I call it The Bomb Sauce, and my husband calls it Awesome Sauce! We also LOVE the pickles/relish! And the garlic sauce is delicious! We actually buy the garlic sauce and shatta sauce in bulk so that we can use it with other meals that we make at home! I also want to note that every time I've been here, no matter the time of day, the restaurant is always clean and service is always top notch. Prices are more than reasonable, the food is delicious, and the staff is wonderful! Thanks Pita Mediterranean...
Read moreThe reviews are great and I'm confident they're true, but my experience was, I believe, an exception:
Placed my order for steak kabobs easily enough, there were a few people dining in and one person waiting for carryout.
Twenty minutes pass and those folks have rotated out and some new diners have sat in, ordered and received their plates and another carry out comes and goes. Checking in on my order, I'm assured it'll only be a minute. Which is true -- I receive it shortly after.
What I received was aesthetically pleasing, save for -- the onions on the steak kabob were essentially burnt squares of film between chunks of incredibly burnt meat. I'm all for a bit of that charcoal flavor, but this was beyond grill marks: the meat chunks were bitter, tough, and dressed on a bed of overly salted rice.
The 'grilled' vegetables as sides had grill marks, but were still very raw with some seasoning dusted on.
The sliced pita bread was standard and tasty, but didn't compliment the bitter spread.
The fries were delicious, but again, not sufficient in comparison.
I let someone know and the chef was very kind in explaining that the issue was the seasoning burning on the meat and we came to the conclusion that I wasn't happy with the quality of the $15 meal.
Then...nothing -- I'm not one for extended confrontation, so I dumped my plate, rescued the store bought pita bread slices and went back to my office.
It could've been an error on my part: maybe I should've ordered a quickly made gyro and my order would've been out of the kitchen much faster and not burnt to a crisp.
Eat here, it's a chain, there were plenty of people coming, going, and enjoying their meals around me: maybe just don't expect to have a conversation or receive consideration if your food turns out less than standard or you're unhappy...
