Kumo was a pleasant addition to Peachtree Corners. Short version, it was amazing for the price and quality. They have an A La Carte option or an AYCE version at $35.95 a person. You'll be pleasantly surprised by how fancy the inside of the restaurant looks compared to the outside filled with pictures of their food. The service was very quick and we were able to continuously keep eating through our 2 hour time limit. We were able to keep track of it through the ordering tablet they gave us. It was really helpful with the pictures and description of each dish before we ordered through the tablet. I listed my impressions of everything we ordered but we sadly couldn't try everything on the menu. We overall had a great time with the waitstaff and eating the food there. Some things to note is their tuna quality is phenomenal for the price. I loved the mango addition to certain dishes.
Size and seating of the spaces was decent too. A rough count showed about 120 seats with tables that can be pushed together. Possibly good for groups up to 8-10 without waiting too long for all the food.
Appetizer: Teriyaki Short Rib - Flavor was good, meat was a bit thick and fatty. Fatty part could have been rendered longer but still good overall. Squid salad - Great cold dish and good texture. No complaints. Takoyaki - Nothing special but it will scratch the itch, good flavoring but small piece of octopus per ball. mainly breading and sauce Pork Belly Bun- thin pork belly, crunchy, sauce is really good. Really enjoyed this one
Premium Appetizer (One order per Customer) Pepper Tuna Tatami - great quality no complaints Spicy Tartar Tuna - not too spicy, good quality, mango helped sweeten it, good portion size
Specialty Rolls (Didn't get the regular rolls due to stomach space, haha ) Rainbow- good quality but no sauce and therefore left a less impactful taste Hawaii- mango is good on it, good sauce good flavor Dragon- cucumber ratio to eel was a little off but still a good roll Rock n roll- spicy tuna paste on top is less spicy than most places. A pro for me so that I can enjoy it more. Honeymoon- really love the mango on this one! Highly recommend this one.
Nigiri - no wasabi by default , good rice to fish ratio Salmon - good quality, no glaze Mackerel - little fishy not the best Eel- great, hard to do wrong Red snapper- very fresh, texture good. Not my favorite fish but still enjoyed it. Shrimp- simple cooked shrimp, will skip next time Tuna- really good quality compared to other places
Kumo house ramen - combo of pork, beef, and chicken ramen. They do have Individual meat type bowls. All the meats were bland. Pork has some flavoring. Broth was lacking. Noodles suffered because of the bland broth. Egg wasn’t bad. Bamboo still had the preserved taste. Safe to pass if you’re full. Quote from my partner, “ It’s like home style ramen.”
Dessert Mochi ice cream- mango or green tea flavor with chocolate drizzle and whipped cream. Great way to end the meal!
Didn’t get a chance to try the hibachi...

My recent visit to Kumo Sushi was unfortunately disappointing. While the service was decent, the overall dining experience left much to be desired.
We arrived at 8 PM with a party of eight and were seated within 10 minutes, though we had to be mindful of the 90-minute all-you-can-eat limit and the kitchen’s closing time at 9:30 PM. However, from the moment we ordered, the service and communication were frustratingly poor.
Despite placing our order with the waiter, not all of our food arrived, forcing us to reorder multiple times. For the first hour, we only received non-sushi items, and it wasn’t until almost closing time that we were finally informed that the sushi chefs were backed up. Meanwhile, the restaurant’s tablet menu turned off, preventing us from ordering more, and we had to track down a waiter to get it replaced.
Opting to dine outside on the patio seemed like a nice choice, but about 40 minutes into our meal, the patio lights shut off. We had to notify staff, and while they offered to move us inside, we chose to stay as the streetlights provided enough visibility. At that point, we just didn’t want to deal with any more issues.
The food quality itself was just okay—nothing spectacular. Some of the sushi even arrived with ice still on it. To make matters worse, we were repeatedly told our food was on the way, only to find out much later that the sushi chefs were completely backed up due to a ticketing system issue. By the time our sushi arrived, it was nearly closing time.
To compensate for the poor experience, one waiter mentioned a manager’s discount. However, when we were given our bill, another waiter didn’t acknowledge the discount, and we had to bring it up. We were initially told it was 20%, but when we asked for more due to the disastrous experience, the response was that it was originally only 10%, making us feel as if we were being ungrateful for even asking.
Overall, the operations at Kumo Sushi are in serious need of improvement. Communication between staff and customers was lacking, delays were not properly addressed, and the value simply was not there. Given our experience, I would...
Read moreRead the whole review please. One bad actor should not ruin the show.
I was very excited about trying out this restaurant. I read the reviews and could not wait to try it out.
I went alone… the family was out of town. After 45 minutes of waiting I called the waiter over and explained I have seen two tables that were seated one ahead of me and one after come in eat and leave. I saw another table that was seated after me on the second round of food. I ordered 3 rolls, 1 sashimi, 1 two price nigiri and an order of spring rolls.
After 45 minutes the only things brought to my table were the sashimi, the nigiri and the spring rolls.
I caught the waiter and asked about my order. He left and came back to the table after speaking to the chefs.
I asked him if I could pay for what I ate and leave. I told him if the order is ready right now I would stay but if not I wanted to leave.
He went back to the kitchen. After waiting a few minutes I got up and went to the front counter to pay for my food. When I got to the counter a different person came out of the kitchen with 2 of the 3 rolls.
I tell you this because the all you can eat has a count down clock that starts at 90 minutes and I was now below 45.
Long story short I walked back over to the table and realized it was not my full order.
The waiter that had just come to the table with the food approached me and I explained that I was not happy. I was speaking loud enough to be heard in a noisy restaurant but by no means had I raised my voice nor was I disrespectful.
The waiter said there’s your food. And I said that is not all of it. The waiter then went on to curse at me.
I stepped the front area again to pay for what I had eaten and a nice woman said they had voided my order and I was free to go.
Let me focus on the good. The food I ate was very fresh and flavorful. The interaction I had with the wait staff explaining the all you could levels was amazingly cordial.
Now the bad. A countdown clock half ticked away and a staff member cursing me is not acceptable. I was paying for what I ate. No intention of getting something for nothing.
That guy needs to go.
I will...
