I've been a frequent patron of Tropical Smoothie for quite some time, but my recent experience has left me deeply disappointed. Today, I ordered two smoothies, expecting to enjoy my favorite treats as usual. However, what transpired during my visit was nothing short of a customer service nightmare.
The ordeal began at the cash register, where the cashier negligently failed to secure the lids on my smoothies properly. As I reached for one of the smoothies, it slipped right out of my hand, splattering both myself and the floor with sticky liquid. To my astonishment, the entire staff, including the lady at the convenience store register, witnessed this mishap unfold before their eyes. Not a single soul offered a helping hand or showed any concern for my predicament. I was left to clean up the mess all by myself, which was not only embarrassing but also completely disheartening.
In my moment of distress, I patiently waited for someone from the staff to come to my aid. It felt like an eternity, but finally, one of the employees went to fetch the manager. When the manager arrived, he displayed a shocking lack of empathy and customer service skills. His response was nothing short of underwhelming as he nonchalantly muttered, "We'll clean that up." No apology, no offer to refill my cup, and not even a suggestion to provide me with a replacement drink. This lack of basic courtesy from the manager was truly bewildering.
Let me be clear: I had no issue with paying for my order, and I didn't expect a freebie. What I did expect, however, was a modicum of common courtesy and empathy from the staff at Tropical Smoothie, especially in a situation that was clearly the result of their own negligence.
I left the establishment feeling not only disappointed but also hurt by the utter lack of customer service displayed during this visit. It's disheartening to see a restaurant I once held in high regard fall so far short of delivering a basic level of customer care. I sincerely hope that this review serves as a wake-up call for Tropical Smoothie to reevaluate their staff training and prioritize customer satisfaction...
Read moreI usually don’t leave bad reviews but I had an unpleasant experience. I love the smoothie they recommended. It was very delicious. However they were kinda rude. First of all they were not very welcoming. When you work in a customer service position your job is to give decent customer service at the least. No greeting. Just rude and awkward stares. Then While I was making my order, I asked if they had vegan options and the girl with glasses and long brown hair giggled and whispered to the other cashier while looking at me while I don’t know nor do I care what was said, it was very disrespectful regardless. I can tell that they were both young so I ignored it because I know my temper and definitely didn’t wanna be a Karen. But if it happens again I will be speaking to a manager because that was unacceptable . Hopefully they see this or someone sees this and lets their team members know the importance of delivering customer service regardless of race, gender or personal vendettas. You can act how u want to in the privacy of ur home. Read moreWe have been ordering the same 2 smoothies for over a year avg. 5 per week @ $8 ea so we have an idea of how they're supposed to taste as well the color should be consistent each time. For the past 3 months it's been terrible at best. The customer service as well as the smoothies. Once again today my wife went by to get us a smoothie and upon looking at and tasting her smoothie it wasn't right nor did did it have spinach and kale because it was brown instead of dark green. So she asked if they could correct it so they made another one the same way BROWN no or not enough green vegetables. After pointing out the obvious again this little girl and boy said she would have to pay for another one if they made another one. So she just turned to leave with the watered-down cup of blended ice and they started laughing as if it was a joke. Really this is customer service tropical smoothie??? Glad I wasn't there because those two would have wore those smoothies the rest of their shift....
