MOD Pizza — Restaurant in Pearland

This is one of my favorite pizza places. They have a friendly staff, quality ingredients and the ability to customize all of the ingredients of my pizza. After dining here a few times, I brought my mom here and explained the concept of choosing your ingredients, to which she interpreted as "give me everything except anchovies" Needless to say her pizza was a train wreck. Not the cool demonstration ones in slow motion, but the kind where everything is in a pile and you don't know where one thing ends and another begins. This is no fault of the staff or the establishment, but rather on my mom (don't tell her I said that). Some ingredients just don't work well with others! My mom tasted my wife's pizza which was basically all of the meat (except anchovies) which she said was good, which reaffirms that the problem was the choices my mom made on her pizza, or rather the lack thereof.

It's fun to experiment with your pizza and try different combinations. Here is the one that I have been doing lately: white sauce with pesto, fresh basil, spinach, arugula, mozzarella, chicken, bacon, pepperoni, spicy sausage, sweet peppers, mushrooms, roasted garlic and feta. It's a lot going on, but the flavors work well together. I really wish they would just name the damn pizza after me so I wouldn't have to keep explaining the whole thing to them :-p

There is also a playground behind the restaurant, which is nice for people with kids!

My only complaint is that the floor could be swept a bit more often, but...

My brother just had a terrible experience here tonight. He went through and his pizza was exactly as he wanted it. They put it in oven. He waited for over 20 minutes. The workers then noticed he was waiting for a long time and asked him for his name and he told them. They looked distressed but didn’t say anything else. Another 15 minutes passed and he finally went to ask if something was wrong with his order. The workers then admitted they had given his pizza away to the wrong customer and were remaking it. Instead of apologizing and telling him what had happened as soon as they realized it, and then giving him the opportunity to give instructions for the pizza, however, they remade a totally random pizza that was nothing close to what he ordered. When he received it, it had already been 45 minutes and so he just took it and left without saying anything. He said this is the second time they’ve done this exact same thing, accidentally gave his pizza away, realized their mistake but didn’t communicate anything to him, remade his pizza with random ingredients, and didn’t own up to their mistake until so much time had passed that it would be ridiculous for him to make them remake it again. For it to happen twice to one person means it happens a lot, which indicates this establishment has not trained their employees on ensuring people get the correct order, nor how to admit their mistakes with orders and handle it properly...

My daughter had been wanting pizza for a few days.....I past up our regular pizza place (Spankys) on Bellaire by accident. I had to go out to Pearland for a few errands. I thought why not since I'm out this way! This is the nearest Mods for us in Rosharon.....It's lunch time and the line is at the door. I'm ok with that, not in a rush! At this point it is about 11:55. I place my order about 12:10. 2 pizzas 1 pepperoni 1 special. At about 12:30 I get the pepperoni that look like it had been sitting there for an hour. I brought it to the attention of the worker and he said i should have asked for extra cheese in order for it not to bubble and look the way it did. It wasn't his problem it was the oven.....😡 waited about 10 more min for other pizza . At this point it just wasn't sitting well with me that I had to just accept the pizzas as is. No where in the advertising does it say make sure yiu ask for extra cheese if you want your pizza to look like a pizza! I ask them to remake the pepperoni and when I got it 10 min later it was burnt🤦🏾‍♀️. No apologies no nothing! They were SLAMMED and ill-prepared. I understand the the lunch rush, but yall have to do better. The service all the way...
