My last review from earlier last year was 4 stars. Then there was an issue in December 2022 that caused me to uninstall the app and write corporate an email.
Today, 11/05/23, I gave Chipotle another shot, after an 11 month boycott, here is what happened:
My visit today to Chipotle, the location referenced above, was far from acceptable and I thought that you should be made aware of what transpired. When I arrived today, there were no customers waiting or being waited on. When I walked up to the order counter I observed no less than 5 people in the kitchen/food prep/register area. No one greeted me - no big deal. I made eye contact with 3 employees and no one offered to take my order. They were however talking amongst themselves about personal stuff. You may review the video footage to verify. I see a woman sauntering over while talking to the employees about non-work related stuff, no urgency whatsoever in her step, and we make eye contact, no greeting. It was not until she leisurely washed her hands (well that one thing I was happy to see) and put on a pair of food service gloves. Once both gloves were on, she asked for my order but was now talking to the man at the grill in the back cooking. Slowly and twice I repeated my order (to go, steak burrito, half the white rice, black beans, fajitas). As she was ready to put food into the burrito she asked what I wanted, and I told her again. There were no fajitas, and she slid the paper with the food down to the next area for other ingredients (cheese/lettuce, that stuff), however, I asked: ".. what about the fajitas?" So now I have asked for Fajitas no less than 4 times and now she tells me there aren't any and that they are cooking. I said I'll wait. She asked "What?" (as I remember it) I replied, "I'll wait". Then I asked about how long, and she said 10 minutes. I said I would come back another time and left.
To put this into context, the last time I was there was Dec 18, 2022 and after an experience with a rude employee and poor service, I uninstalled the app from my phone and sent an email to corporate to let them know how the employees are treating the customers.
So, while I still have not reloaded the app, shame on me for coming back again and not being valued as a customer again. I WANTED to have a good experience, but when you put unfriendly people behind the counter who are more concerned about socializing with the other employees than providing a pleasant customer experience, that reflects poorly on management.
There are many other choices for fast, decent food in the area such as Costco, Panda Express, Jersey Mikes, Chik-Fil-A, Firehouse Subs, Subway, and the list goes on.
I did take my business immediately to Jersey Mikes @ Pines/Dykes (see that review). They were happy to see me, were polite, and made the food exactly as ordered. They got my $32.xx food order today, not Chipotle.
If I were the GM, I would want to know about these experiences, because, unfortunately, when bad experiences happen, customers talk more than when good experiences happen.
By the way, the email I sent back in December 2022, went...
Read moreI ordered food from this chipotle specifically and the service I received there was horrific. I picked up my food and when I opened the package, the bowls looked like they chew the food then threw up in the bowl and packed it for me. I went back to the store and asked to speak to a manager. This young girl that claimed to be the manager and I’m pretty sure she gave me a fake name as well but she said her name was Angela. She came to me and I asked her to look at the bowls to see if that’s something she’d eat or allow her family members to eat. She started laughing at me. She made me repeat myself so many times. I have an accent cause I'm an immigrant. I felt so discriminated upon and I could not believe the type of service I received from chipotle yesterday. “Angela” walked away and didn’t even ask how she could fix my issue. She just laughed and walked away and went to the back and started flirting with some dude and completely disregarded me as a customer that paid her money to receive food. I am so disappointed because I thought chipotle was a safe place to go to receive food that as a consumer I pay for myself. But I will never support a company like that again. Even some of my co workers have gone there and they’ve stayed that specific chipotle has a bunch of kids working there and all they do is flirt with one another and dismiss them when they go. I called customer service, and the people that they hired to answer the phone wouldn’t even bother listening to my issues and just kept repeating they will investigate. They couldn’t even give me a timeframe of when I’ll be hearing back from a live human being. I asked for corporate phone number, they couldn’t provide that to me neither. Overall, I feel bad for the CEO because this the type of ppl that you have running your company. It is not a good image at all. If I had gone to chic fil a, I would have never received this type of service. But I know to not waste my money nor energy on Chipotle anymore. They won’t even give me my money back. I returned the food and didn’t even eat any of it. They stole my money when I didn’t receive...
Read moreI've been going to this Chipotle since I was in high school. About 10 plus years, and I still go to this one. However, this past experience.I just had today makes me want to just take the extra drive to go down south to the one in Miramar. Because they has much better service. Normally it's decent. However, the past few times I've went. It seems like they've been skipping out on the protein. But at least the last time I went. The service was still pretty decent today. However, there was the family in front of me and understand that they had a complicated order. They're waiting for fresh chicken. And I didn't mind getting the older chicken. That was there so I pressed on and continued my order. Instead of forwarding with my order. I had to wait behind them until they're ordered finish, letting my food stay out and getting cold and then apparently that people behind me we're able to skip in front of me and then they eventually move them back so there's people shoveling in front of me behind me and I feel. Like I wasn't getting the proper attention. While I was making my order. And then when it was finally time for me to pay. They go back in line in order to process everybody else's order, so I'm waiting at the register with my food sealed by the time they came back in order to let me pay for my order. I felt like I was being rushed at this point. So not only did I not get the proper attention. While my food was being prepared, but now I'm being rushed out. Makes no sense and I didn't get a receipt. Luckily, I scanned my phone beforehand, and I eventually got my points. It didn't automatically show app, so I wasn't even sure if I was gonna get my reward points overall terrible service when being given. No attention and being rushed out. When the people before me were getting a lot of attention and were being catered too as well as the people behind. Maybe they just took one look at me and it was just like he wasn't...
