Against popular demand I know people will bypass this review and many other prior. It's unfortunate to see an establishment that once used to provide quality service and food now be just another one of those restaurants that you try to avoid. Eateries of any sort are not scarce in the area so I can understand that there's competition but to clearly show that money is above quality to your customers is just out disgraceful. I don't live close so since I was in the area I decided to stop. The food was not to order. The cut of meat is not the same. It was dry, flavorless and something that I may or may not feed my dogs. The service was bad considering we were 1 of 2 only other guests. The menu was dirty with stuck on foods, prices displayed with cut up pieces of a name tag sticker, and funny of all the prices were different in each menu they gave us. Whoever you have looking over marketing is clearly too laid back for the field. I understand that things are more costly now, but that doesn't mean to cut the corners of quality. It feels as though they raised the prices, lowered their good quality grade and are milking it for as long as people continue to go there. I don't mind paying more for quality food but really hate paying more for low quality food. I hope that the owner takes into consideration what's happened and chooses to address this this to better not just themselves but also that of the patrons which are the only reason any restaurants is able to keep its...

Majority of the employees are very nice & helpful and provide an excellent service. Food is good as well. However there is an older lady there that thinks she is the owner which treated me terribly. I use to come to this location 10 years ago . The owner is a very nice lady. Today I come in with my children, I was bragging to my kids how good this place is and how I use to come to this location frequently when I worked in the area . We get in & walk straight to the buffet area . My children and I ordered what we wanted and the employee took care of us with excellent service. Then when she was trying to ring us up this older lady with a mean face was trying to tell her how to ring us up . Finally the nice employee charged us , I tipped her $4 and ask her for some forks so my children and I can eat a little there and take the rest to go . Extremely rudely the older lady say no we can not sit down to eat . The nice employee try to convince her and she still said NO. That we have our food packed to go so must take it to go? I explained to her my children and I came to eat there not to take food to go. No one even asked if it was to go? Any how I looked straight in the old ladies face and said you need to learn some customer service I also assured her I would contact the owner.. Making us leave Pembroke Pines location to go eat it where ??? Our house ? Which is 45 mins away . I will never enter this...

I bought my plate from the stand of foods already pre-made (didn't order from the menu) which is usually cheaper than eating inside the restaurant.

I got everything that would normally come on a plate, except I omitted the meat (because I only wanted it vegetarian). I was surprised when she charged me almost $13. So I asked her why it was so much for only what I received, without meat. She then asked someone else working in the back, and then I was told again that it costs close to $13. So I payed it, and left sad, because I know they overcharged me. I even asked her "If I had gotten this same exact meal with meat, how much would this have cost me?" To which she replied, "$13". Therefore this would mean that the meat portion costs like $1 and the rest of my plate was like $12. I told her this makes no sense.

They don't seem vegetarian friendly in pricing this more appropriately. I'm glad that I could get this meal, but the price was too much.. I know that when I order food from another Nicaraguan restaurant (nearby here), they always cut me some slack when I ask for a meatless meal. So that's why I was so surprised that you over priced my portion, even after I asked about it before making my payment (you could've given a little grace). The food was good. I just won't desire to return here due to the over charge price payed for only a...

Take your money elsewhere! We used to love to eat here 2-3 times a week even brought ppl from out of town and friends and family. But the quality of food and service has gone down horribly. Prices are up by like 40% and the quality of the food is unacceptable. Drinks and water are served wit 3-4 cubes of ice. The meat for the carne asada tastes like liver full of fat and un chewable. The maduros are stiff and don’t taste sweet. The fries were stale and seemed over fried in old oil. But what upset us the most is that the menu said the carne asada was $14 and they charged us $20!!! This is not acceptable one piece of meat (tough rubbery and tasted like liver). Not even Los Ranchos! When we told the waitress she came back from the kitchen and said well she says they are all the same. Very disappointed the one true place where we used to get good Nicaraguan food In Pembroke is no longer an option. The service was horrible like we were a bother worst part is gratuity already included in the tab. The owner lost the touch of this place.

I came to have lunch with a colleague of mine who highly recommended this restaurant because he is from Nicaragua 🇳🇮. I had the Antojito Casero (yuca, pork rinds, ground sausage, fried cheese, and cabbage salad. The meal was quite tasty although the pork rinds didn't seem too fresh. The wait staff was extremely friendly and helpful although it took a while to serve the meals. I found the beverages a bit pricey: $2+ for a bottle of water. Overall, it's a nice little restaurant down the street from Broward College South Campus. I'll definitely be back!
