Hidden gem!! My wife found this place after we decided to not wait at another restaurant, and I'm glad we found this place. We had an overall great experience! They have a lot of good options on their menu that also allow you to put together whatever set of options you want. Think chipotle do your own thing menu options, but much better! As we were mulling over our options and trying to decide what sounded the most delicious, they offered a sample of their gumbo. We didn't expect to be offered a sample, but even that was so good. Even though we didn't end up going with the gumbo because we wouldn't be able to eat it, that gumbo was delicious; the smoked beef sausage is an amazing touch. The homemade drink was very flavorful and so good, cannot recommend the flop/Arnold Palmer enough. I was shocked to hear it comes with free refills as well since I typically drink a lot; my kind of people. Our food didn't take long to come out, but it was all delicious and healthy! I got so full halfway through my plate, 3 drinks didn't help, and felt really good. Overall an amazing lunch experience so well definitely will be back, especially for that gumbo 😁 The last surprise at the end was a free banana pudding! Now I didn't even consider dessert because of how full I was and can't promise you'll get one, but you must try that too! They've only been open for two years and we've moved out of town, but we'll...
Read moreWe were there again for the 2nd time for lunch. OK, $45 does seem a little high for some shrimp and fish in a basket with fries, but let me explain: One bite and I am transported to a 'Fish Fry' in some southern Louisiana neighborhood on a lovely midsummer's evening. We had grouper and shrimp. The grouper went from the net to the fryer! It was THAT FRESH! I used to fish the waters of the Florida keys, where we would catch, (or spear), Nassau or Black Grouper with our "Greater Miami Water Ski Club" group, with about 20 Ski Nautiques out on the choppy waters. We'd bring it back to the shore and have a massive fish fry. Too bad we didn't have Mr. Shrimp's recipe! Anyway, it didn't have that greasy effect that most fried foods have, (the oils used to fry are pure and tasteless), it was really HOT, and the sauces are amazing! Fish is one of the best proteins that you can put in your human body, and for me, Mr. Shrimp has some of the best fish offerings in town! They have the boil bags, fried fare, and specialty beverages, (Peppermint Lemonade? AWESOME!), and fresh sides! Do you like fresh, delicious Louisiana-Style seafood? Then you'll LOVE Mr. Shrimp's stuff!!!! GO...
Read moreWe've dined in twice here, and it's safe to say we love it. The food is always extra hot once it reaches our table. The savory flavor lingers on your tongue like the smell of various spring in the air. The feelings of butterflies fill your stomach as you take a bite from their coach. The shrimp will fill your stomach as if you've been reborn. Their mintaid is cool and refreshing, and their banana pudding so a savoring treat that is worth every penny. If you haven't been here you must come at least one time it's a bit on the pricy side but good food is worth it.
Update: So we decided to order from Mr. Shrimp, via Uber Eats. Once it got to the house, it was nice and hot it smelled delicious. As I was eating, I didn't notice anything because we were eating in the dark watching a movie on tv. So when I held that last one up about to eat it. I found a hair in the food, specifically in my shrimp. Yes, we notified Uber Eats, but this is something I, as a food consumer, must tell the truth. Maybe this was an isolated event, but I haven't eaten there since. This is my individual experience that I...
