Submarine Crab — Restaurant in Pembroke Pines

Today I decided to visit submarine crabs I have been seeing this a lot on my social media and decided to make the 45min drive, once I enter the restaurant there was one young lady there having lunch I began to look around and the floors and table were clean for the most part i also had 5 other people with me a lady came from around back and ask to seat us we agree to take a table in the middle that sat six people once we were seated one of my guest notice the table was dirty (it had dropping of food from a previous guest )she then ask the server who sat us to wipe the table the server came over with a not so clean rag a swipe one spot on the table and walk away I then ask can you please clean the entire table the server ask why I’m gonna put paper on it I ask her name she said its Tammy in a very rude way I then got up and said I’m moving to a different table Tammy then said there is no other table that can seat you’re party so once again I ask will you please clean the entire table she took the same rag a wipe the table I then proceeded to ask to speak with the manager she said sure turn up her face went to the back and came back around 3minute later and said he not here I said ok no problem when can I reach that person she told me you will just have to try to catch him maybe in the morning my party and i place our order before the food was served Tammy came over again and ask about drinks I decided not to place a drink order just food only and I decided to ask Tammy why was it such a big deal to wipe the table down she then explain to me that she didn’t see anything wrong with the table nor her wiping one spot I told her I dis agree and I perfer not to eat on top of someone’s mess she then told me that’s water under the bridge and do I want to order something or not once again I ask for the manager and she said that person is still not back and walk off there was a guy who work in the kitchen who came up front and I ask is the manager in the back he shook his head but I was unsure if it was a yes or a no so I left the situation along by this point. Once my guest and I received our food it was wonderful the quality of the food and the seasoning by this time a nice young man by the name of David took over our table very polite and just nice I thing began to explain to him what happened and Tammy started screaming his name I even notice her speaking with other workers about the situation and laughing my table Total equal out to about $215.00 I don’t think I will be recommend This location to any of my family nor friends the Quality If the food was great but Tammy is very rude argumentative and turns her mouth up at you not sure if the manager was in the back and really doesn’t care about what his customers concerned are but that just put the icing on the cake for...

I was at Submarine Crabs on Saturday, February 1 to celebrate my friends Birthday, there was a 1 hour wait time, but we did enjoy the food and the service was great. I give a 2 star only because, 2 days later I realized that they had charged my debit card and extra $13.00 more than my bill, which by the way showed the correct amount, but I was charged $13.00 extra. I called the restaurant and spoke to China who was very pleasant with great customer service skills, she informed that the manager had left and the assistant manager would not be in, China took my name and phone number and said she will leave it on the manager Ty desk. The next day I still have not heard from Ty, so I called back and talked to China again and was told the same thing that the manager had just left and the other manager would not be in again. So of course I am not a very happy person at this time and told China I would just dispute it with my credit card company and hung up, but after thinking about again and thinking that this is something that the restaurant need to take care of, I called back a 3rd time and spoke to China again and she said that she would take a picture of the note she left for Ty and text it to him, 10 minutes later I received a call from the manager Ty who apologize numerous times and said he would look into it, I even texted him my receipt, sure enough Ty called back to say that he found the error and that someone else tip had been added to my account. Needless to say I was credited back my $13.00, but please make sure you check your credit card to make sure you are not being over charged, other than that I would have given a 4 star. The place was busy on a Tuesday night - we waited 45mins to be seated - it was worth it! Loved the sauce & spice range they offer as well as the seafood choices. My only complaint (and reason why it's not a 5 star rating) was the service. By the time we were seated there were only a few tables left yet the cook forgot to incorporate additional items we ordered from the a la carte menu into the combos my friend and I chose (and this was not the waitress's fault). I was also brought the wrong food initially (a shrimp bowl only) only to get the "correct bowl" sans my additional items mentioned before. But what I found distasteful was towards the end of our dinner where another waitress picking up a nearby table loudly slammed the check on the table & exclaimed "$6 bucks only?!" Referring to the tip she was just left. The place is not massive so trust me, we all heard her.

Even the table next to us complained about the service as they were not explained the "how to's" on ordering sauces, spice ranges, etc. It was their first time there and they only realized the "how to's" when they smelled the spice coming from our bowls and after we explained it to them.

This is not my first time there and I usually visit places more than once before I write a review on any platform. Everytime we've gone there's always a tiny mishap -which is normal in my book, especially on the weekends- but this time I found they dropped the ball quite a few times where it didn't need to happen.

Overall, I will still come back. I love seafood and love the style in which the food here is served-Brings back Louisiana memories. The food is good & the prices are reasonable. Definitely give them...
