Another broken egg So the only way to get a table it to sign in to yelp and request. Now I requested a table for 4. The system tells me to check in by 11:50. So for good measure we got to the restaurant by 11:33. Once I get inside to the hostess I see the system now tells me to check in by 12:51. What? How did it jump up an hour. I ask the hostess what's going on and she tells me that I am 45 mins in to my wait and I need to wait another 50-120 minutes. Now this makes no sense to me. I asked what is the total time from right now I need to wait. She repeats herself like if saying it again will help. I then stated so I have 120-150 minutes of which I already waited 45 of that. Ok. I guess. I walk out to wait. As we are waiting we see plenty of open tables but no one sitting. My Husband went inside spoke to the manager. And finds out that they are short staffed and that the yelp system is the only way to get a table. I little different but makes it harder since the system tells you to check in but the best was is to request a table on yelp they check in right away. That moves you up the list. I find that not fair. They should keep you at your time. Not pump on the list. We'll I guess it also has its good because we did get a table faster then the system told us we should. Once at the table we give our drink order. They waitress was nice and got us our drinks fast. The kids milk is in a juice box and the OJ only come in one size. After 5 minutes the waitress come to take our orders. We asked for 2 coffees, hot chocolate, and hot milk. The coffee was very good. The hot chocolate was creamy sweet goodness. The hot milk was just the perfect drink for the cool weather. When our food arrived it looked good and tasted better. My daughter's cinnamon roll French Toast was full of the creamy icing and mixed barriers. Her response to how good it was was "yummy went in tummy". My youngest daughter's not only ate all her Pancakes but all her eggs claiming that they are the best scramble egg even better than her dad's. My Husband wanted to see how ture that statement is so he tried his scrambled eggs and was very impressed and admitted that they are better then his eggs. He doesn't not get impressed by scramble egg ever. My original French Toast was so fluffy and sweet tasting. The bacon was just perfect. Jessica was our server. She was so friendly and handled 7 tables all on her own not making a mistake. She is great at her job. Found out her husband is the chef. We had to pass the message to him that he did the impossible and amazed my husband with his eggs. This small location is worth the wait for a table. We...
Read moreLet me begin by saying that in ten years and thousands of reviews, this is the second 1 star I have ever written. This is specifically about the service and the server Renee. We walked in and it was busy and crowded (good for them). They were struggling to get people signed in and the hostess had her back to the door (a lot). It seemed she was new so there is that. The young man signed us in and we waited about 30 minutes. When we sat we were not greeted by a friendly person, we just kind of sat around for a bit, looking over the menu. Then, enter Renee, older lady who barely greeted us and asked us if we wanted something to drink from the menu or the bar. I asked if they had expresso (I always ask for expresso) and we were a bit overwhelmed at the large crowds, closed spaces and tons of little kids making noise... and all of the food options on the menu to look at drinks. She said they only have "American coffee" so if I wanted that or anything fancy I had to go somewhere else. So I said I would just have water. Then, after discussing the comment with my husband he decided to go talk to the Manager and leave. She came back and asked if she could take the order without him and zi told her we were leaving. When I told her it was because of her comment about the coffee she said "Oh geeze I didnt mesn it like that" and she walked off before zi could give her a chance to explain what she meant then. I know she went to intercept my husband so he would not talk yo the manager and he chewed her out. However, we have traveled all over the world, Florida is one of our home bases and it is always shocking to be treated with such destain. Some of us will do as suggested snd go somewhere else. However, the company should hire competent people who like customers and are there to serve. A better response would have been, "we don't have expresso but we have these delicious options". I went looking for what exactly American coffee was on the menu, as they had many options: Colombian, French, etc... never going back to this place when the servers are rude and telling some of "Us" to go somewhere else. Corporate will be contacted regarding this issue. If you have any issues with this place we encourage you to post reviews and vote with your feet by leaving. No one has a right to make anyone else feel unwanted in a place where we pay to go to. Breakfast was not ruined, we went to First Watch and it...
Read more2nd Visit: Traditional breakfast was good, pancakes were not so good not tasty at all. My first cup of coffee was great but the second cup was not so great. The server “Arlene” was not attentive at all , I had to ask her for another cup of coffee and she came back with the pot and poured it into my cup. I added one cream and took a sip only to find out that the coffee was not hot at all. It was lukewarm. After waiting for her to return, I told her and she returned it to me extremely hot in the same cup. She had apparently reheated the coffee most likely in the microwave. It seems that server’s are given too many tables and cannot give the customers the service that they expect. Overall the food is good but the service needs improvement.
Update: 03/23/24 Saturday
This was our third To this particular restaurant in Pembroke Pines. We did not have a good experience the second time we visited. After several months, my wife and I decide to give them a second chance. First of all our table was not very clean. There was food on the seats left and underneath the table. I ordered the traditional breakfast, and my wife ordered a waffle. My 1st cup of decaf coffee was hot. After drinking the 1st cup of decaf coffee, the waitress brought me a 2nd cup, and the 2nd cup was not hot at all. When I mentioned this to her, she brought me the 3rd cup however the 3rd cup of coffee was hot, but it was not decaf. Our food arrived. My scrambled eggs were cold, and so was my grits. I put butter on my grits and the butter never melted. When I touch the grits they were cold. I told the waitress about the grits and she Returned with another small plate of hot grits. The manager of this facility needs to pay more attention on what’s happening in the kitchen, while the food is being prepared. No hot breakfast should be brought out to the customers in cold conditions. I did not want to return the cold scrambled eggs because I do not like sending food back. The service was OK, but it definitely needs improvement. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant For breakfast or any other meals. The star rating for our visit is 2. The service is what makes or breaks a restaurant, although the food may be good, Most people will not return if they have a bad experience. Another Broken Egg turned out to be Another Broken Experience. I will not be recommending anyone to...
