Just happened to drive by this plaza and saw several places to eat. Saw this Don Pan (Mr. Bread) location on Pines Blvd. We have never eaten at any Don Pan location, so why not check it out. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by at least 3 employees. All the girls were so super friendly and eager to help us with the menu. It was so refreshing to find such a friendly crew. Any question we had they answered and pretty much told us what everything we asked about was going to taste like. They were all right on point. We had several different empanadas. Fresh juices and even a café con leche which was DELICIOUS 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋. We ate there and then ordered more to go. We will definitely come back to eat here again. Very friendly crew. You guys know how I feel about the bathrooms at any restaurant I visit. This bathroom was clean 🙏🏽. The place looked empty but they are definitely busy. While we were there at least 7-8 people came in to pick up to-go orders. They serve all kinds of food. We will try different items on the menu next time. Thank you very much for checking in. Have a blessed and safe day. Eat...
Read moreI feel bad leaving them such a low rating because the staff there is so sweet and attentive. However the food is not good at all. I’ve eaten from Don Pan about 4 times. Usually I get a bowl. Only one time out of those four was the food good. I gave it a few chances because I figured maybe it’s just today. One of the times the food was delicious. The rice was on point, the beans were really tasty and the meat was very well seasoned. But after that the food has never been good. Last night I gave them a last try and I honestly had to throw the food out after only a couple of bites. The food was tasteless, bland, just overall not good. I also often get the Pabe empanadas. They are usually good taste wise but most times very very greasy. I would recommend to reassess their cooking and I would be willing to give them another try because the staff is really nice and the place is nice and clean. I cannot speak about their pastries because I’ve...

I had high hopes for Don Pan in Pembroke Pines, but unfortunately, everything was quite disappointing. We ordered a cachapa to eat there, and while the cheese was tasty, the cachapa itself had a strange texture—almost like it had been frozen.
The rest of the food didn’t improve the experience. The tequeño and ham cachito were terrible, lacking both flavor and freshness. We also ordered desserts to go—a milhojas and an opera cake—and both tasted rancid. Unfortunately, I had to throw them away. The sweet bread we took home was hard on the outside, though the inside had an acceptable texture. The passion fruit juice was very watered down and bland.
On top of that, the floor was noticeably dirty.
The only pleasant part of the visit was the customer service—the staff was kind and attentive. Sadly, that wasn’t enough to make up for the poor quality of the food and...
