I, too (like others) was sent to Honey Baked Ham Co. on Pines by a relative to pick up a ham in the “pre-paid” line on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. While I did expect a line, I didn’t expect literally 100 other customers to be there as well and a Security Guard to boot. It was definitely slightly chaotic & my FIRST suggestion to management is to put more staffing on the prepaid side (as those orders are, you know… “prepaid” with “pick-up” times allotted). …thank goodness I brought my headphones so I could drown out all the negative complaints from other customers but trust, the pre-paid line was ANGRY because it did seem as walk-up customers were getting faster service. SECOND suggestion is to make Wed. before Thanksgiving a “pre-paid pick up day” ONLY in order to ensure customers are promptly served & that ALL pre-paid orders are fullfilled. (On Tues, Smoked Turkey pre-purchasers were told “an hour delay” on their Turkeys & it was obvious they were sold to walk-up customers 🥲). …The best way to lose customers is to NOT give them what they already paid for & were confirmed for prior. Either that or seriously get TWICE the amount of staff & extra inventory. That all said, what a terrible job it would be to have manning that pick-up counter & employees have no control over the store managers mis-managing inventory & bungling customer service. The employees were nice & cordial when I finally got to the counter so I’m giving a liberal 3 stars but would definitely suggest scheduling your holiday pick-up at least 3 days in advance & at the earliest time (mos def not day before holiday) to ensure you can park easily, wait in a modest line & get the inventory you want for your holiday dinner - it’s all prepackaged anyway. Not like it will be “fresher” a day later…)
I’d have to say even though my peers were aggravated by the line & wait, I found the boxed, horrible looking Rum Cake offered for $30. the biggest “turn off” of the entire experience -as well as the other pre-packaged, over-priced, unappetizing food items… AND, they gave me two separate hams instead of the one whole 9.7 lb. ham at $100. 🤣). Oy vey… not my favorite...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed with the service I received from The honey baked ham. I prepaid for my meal, expecting a smooth and hassle-free experience, but what I encountered was nothing short of a nightmare.
Upon arriving at the restaurant to pick up my order, I was shocked to find a ridiculously long line that stretched for three hours. It was absolutely unacceptable to have to wait for such an exorbitant amount of time, especially when I had already paid in advance.
The lack of organization and efficiency displayed by the staff was appalling. There seemed to be no attempt made to manage the crowd or expedite the process. It was clear that they were ill-prepared to handle the number of customers, despite the fact that we had preordered our meals.
Not only did this inconvenience me, but it also wasted my valuable time. I had made plans based on the assumption that I would be able to pick up my meal promptly, but instead, I found myself standing in line for hours on end. This level of disregard for customers' time is simply unacceptable.
Furthermore, the complete lack of communication from the restaurant only added to my frustration. There were no updates or apologies provided for the extensive wait time. It felt as though the staff couldn't care less about the inconvenience they were causing their customers.
To make matters worse, when I finally reached the front of the line, my order was not even ready. Despite having prepaid, I was told that there were not more turkey. This was the final straw for me.
Overall, my experience with the honey baked was nothing short of a disaster. The excessive wait time, lack of organization, and poor communication left me feeling incredibly dissatisfied. I would strongly advise against patronizing this establishment if you value your time and expect even a basic level of...
Read moreI was ordering and prepaying on line for my ham, I live in Weston and I am not sure how I ended up ordering from this store located in Pembroke Pines. It was obviously my mistake so I decided to drive all the way to pembroke pines in my lunch hour to pick p the ham at pembroke pine shoneybaked ham. When I got there it took me 30 minutes to find parking then I saw the lines were humongous. I went to the employee at the door to ask where would i pick up my ham that i had preordered and paid for, he showed me 2 lines he said one line was for the people that had prepaid and ordered on line and the other one for the people that had not. They were both huge maybe 100 -150 people in line but the line for the people that had preordered and paid for the ham was even longer than the people that had not. Not only the lines were huge outside but inside the store as well. the lines moved so slow or barely nothing. I had no choice but to leave. I drove to weston store (davie) explained my situation , there was no line, there was curbside pick up in such an orderly manner. They were very sympathetic to the fact I had made a mistake ordering , they had hams and they sold me one. the whole thing took less than 10 minutes. Of course I had to pay for that ham; so now I have paid for 2 hams and only have one. I read my recept and it says that the only way to get my refund is calling the store. problem is I am calling and have been on hold for 25 minutes. Keep getting a recording that replays itself over and over and over. Hate this experience. Have been buying this ham for all my adult life and the experience in this pembroke pines store has been awful, unorganized, unprofessional and disrespectful to...
