Sno-Castle — Restaurant in Pendleton

Great story... I grew up in Anderson Indiana and had been enjoying Sno-Castle for years. 17 years ago, I began pastoring a church in Indianapolis. I told my members that one day, I would take them to Anderson to Sno-Castle for a treat. They laughed at me and said that they could get a snow cone anywhere. Well, that summer, our church was invited to a program in Anderson. After the service, I told them to follow me to Sno-Castle and bought everyone a sno cone, even a couple of people who said that they didn't want any. These are the best sno cones of any place I've ever tried. I don't understand how they get their shaved ice so much finer than other places, but it truly does feel like snow. At other places, their shaved ice is always a little "chunkier", so to speak. Here, though, it is shaved so finely that it melts in your mouth with absolutely no bigger chunks of ice.
