Went here for lunch with my friends and we all had a great experience. We sat outside in their outdoor section which was really big so we all felt comfortable dining here during covid. Most tables had large umbrellas (huge plus because we didn’t have to sit in the sun) and they were all 6 feet apart. All the staff was wearing masks, menus were disposable and all drinks came in plastic cups (another plus!)
We got the Caprese and Ricotta Board as starters and I got the Margherita pizza as my meal.
The Caprese was really good but I could tell that the ingredients weren’t fresh. The red peppers were a nice addition though!
The Ricotta board was AMAZING! I’ve never seen this on a menu before so I was excited to try something new. I was blown away over something so simple. The bread was delicious but the ricotta with honey was the star of the show. It was almost like a dessert but I enjoyed the salty and sweet aspect of this appetizer.
The Margherita pizza wasn’t anything special. I didn’t like the huge chunks of tomato and these was only 3 pieces of mozzarella cheese on the whole pie. The bread was really thin so I was mostly eating sauce. I wasn’t a fan of the sauce and the basil wasn’t fresh. The crust was the best part of the pie.
For drinks, I had the Seasonal Sangria (pineapple mango) and a Blood Orange Margarita. The Sangria was alright but the Marg was delicious. For $5 each, I thought that was a very fair price.
Our waiter was fantastic. He was very attentive and checked in on us the right amount of times. The food and drinks came out fast.
I would’ve liked to see fresh ingredients being used and I think there could be improvements on the Margherita pizza. I also thought that the appetizers were pricey. Most of the apps were around the same prices as the pizzas. Overall, I had a pleasant experience here and would definitely go back.
I would’ve rated this 5 stars but unfortunately, they do not allow dogs in their outdoor section (unless it’s a service dog). This was a disappointment considering that the majority of restaurants doing outdoor dining allow furry friends.
