My wife and I love pizza and consider ourselves connoisseurs so we have tried lots of places in Mobile, Ocean Springs, South Baldwin and now Pensacola. If you like NY style pizza Pappas Pizza in downtown Pensacola is one of the best we have tried. We got an 18" Xtra Large and the crust has the perfect crispness to it so your toppings don't slide off. The sauce is delicious and they put just the right amount. I suggest get some on the side to dip your leftover crust in. The toppings were fresh and we really just loved everything about it. If I had to pick on something I would have to say I would have liked just a little more sausage. They have 14" and 18" sizes and you can also order by the slice. An Xtra large will set you back $30 but its worth it. We highly recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area or just want to take a ride for a good experience. They have outdoor seating and...
Read morePizza is my favorite food. Me and my son love trying new places everywhere we travel and we've been to alot. Very few stick out of the countless places we've tried as being our favorites.

The crust on the NY style is fantastic and the toppings are just enough and enough flavor to make for a great pie. I haven't got to try the Sicilian style yet. But was very impressed with the NY style. So much so that after our first visit, we came back the next day and ordered 2 more pies.
The service both days was very good and the guy that served us remembered us from the day before. (Can't remember his name).
The one suggestion I have is they need some appetizers on the menu. Garlic cheese bread, mozzarella sticks, etc.
If you're looking for really good pizza this...
Read moreWent here with the wife. We like VERY different things on our pizza, and usually have to order individual pizzas. The manager (owner?) challenged us to order one pizza with chosen things split down the middle. She took the order as requested, and the pizza guys nailed it. Came out just as ordered (even without cheese on one side), cooked perfectly with a crisp yet chewy crust. A proper NY pizza in the heart of Pensacola. Will definitely visit again. Alcohol selection is extremely limited, but available. Not much room to increase selection, but I’d throw a cheap beer on tap for pitchers (pbr?). Seating is very limited so skip...
