Update (May 2023): Unfortunately, this store is back to their slow-as-molasses ways again. It took 12 minutes in the drive-thru line before I eventually reached the speaker. Yes, 12 minutes just to reach the drive-thru speaker. Then it took another 10-11 minutes to reach the window. From the moment I placed my app order until I got my food at the drive-thru window took 25 minutes. Literally, 25 minutes. I timed it. What good is the app if it doesn't make your dining experience more convenient or quicker? When I complained about the long wait times, they said it was busy. However, there were relatively few customers in the store when I looked through the large windows into the dining room area. Based on their nonchalant and lackadaisical attitude, I think it's more likely they just didn't care how long customers were waiting in the drive-thru. 25 minutes for a Jr. cheeseburger meal?! That's absurd. If they truly cared, then management & the owner would undoubtedly put more effort into making their drive-thru service more efficient. Even if increasing the drive-thru to two lanes is not a viable option, there are other ways to make the drive-thru service more efficient. Does management or the owner even read these reviews?
Update (March, 2023): Wow. This store has made a complete turnaround in terms of speed & quality of service. It went from one of the worst Whataburger locations that I've ever been to, to one of the best, and it seems to be doing it consistently now & without any apparent drop in food quality. Absolutely amazing bc it was so bad for so long. I mean for decades, too. Awesome šš½. I typically order using the app now, then pick up inside at the counter, so I can't evaluate other modes of ordering (e.g., drive-thru).
(July, 2022): This place still has frustratingly slow service. I waited in the drive-thru line for 7 minutes and never did reach the drive-thru speaker. I decided to go inside to pick up my mobile app order at the counter and overheard the staff calling out order numbers for pick-up, but the customers had apparently left bc they grew tired of waiting. I heard the staff say this as they pulled the fries out that bag and put it into mine to complete my order. Thus, the mgr & staff are clearly aware of how slow the service is. Something obviously needs to be done about it. The store appeared to have enough staff based on the number of employees wearing whataburger uniforms walking around.
(Feb, 2022): This is probably the slowest Whataburger store I've ever visited and I've been to many between FL and TX. In fact, I don't recall ever visiting this particular store in which the service wasn't mediocre or awfully slow. It doesn't matter what time of day, whether I'm ordering breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or whether the parking lot and/or drive-thru is full or empty. This location is S-L-O-W! Ā Ā Ā Read moreMe and a friend came to Whataburger this past Wednesday to grab some food really quickly before meeting our friends downtown. We walked in and were greeting by the manager who quickly called out to someone to come over and take our order. When no one was immediately available she took our order. She was kind and she ensured our meal was made right by calling out to the people who were making our food to get the little tweaks we asked for on our meals (I asked for extra sauce). I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. When I received my sandwich is was beautiful. It was juicy. It was delicious. My friend had ordered fries and they dropped his fries fresh even though they had fries there and there was no other customers. Did I mention they brought our food out to where we were sitting? We finished eating both very pleased with our meals and thought we would sneak out real quick and head to meet our friends and as we were reaching the door the manager greeted us and thanked us for coming and wished us a good day. At that point I felt obligated to come onto Google maps and ensure I raved about this wonderfully managed Whataburger. I had such a nice experience and I just ordered a chicken sandwich. I would recommend this location to anyone and everyone. It was a delight...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTale of two burgers. My wife loved her patty melt burger and I admit it was really good ( I had one bite). Juicy patty and a lot of flavor. My burger was sort of the opposite. I got the double burger. ( the one pictured). The patty was still really juicy but the overall flavor was very bland. Three pickles, squirt if mustard which was already absorbed by the bun when I opened it up. The onion chunks were good sized but without flavor. ( probably not their fault). The burger was 100% forgetful where my wifeās melt is still being talked about. The fries are standard at best easily beaten by most chains. The onion rings on the other hand were amazing and very flavorful. Those I finished the burger not so much. Look, I get it. Taste is 100% relative but still very comparable for most. Go. Try it. Enjoy. Just avoid the boring burger. Service side of the story. Could have been bad luck to bad timing but the place was not busy two other couple besides us and they forgot my milkshake and my sauce I ordered. No big deal, they said they would bring it right out but they didnāt. I waited about five minutes or three bites into my burger, then went up and asked for the two missing items again.
