My wife, children, and I have been coming to this urgent care location for years. Unfortunately, during a visit today with my son, I experienced the worst interaction I’ve ever had in any medical setting. I paid $200 out-of-pocket for my son to be seen and was brought back after a short 20-minute wait. Upon entering the room, the medical assistant asked, “What are the symptoms?” I began explaining that my wife, who is a nurse, and I had been managing his fever at home, but now that he was experiencing an earache, we felt it was time to bring him in. The medical assistant rudely interrupted me and condescendingly asked, “Umm, are you dad?” — clearly implying doubt, likely due to the fact that my son and I have different skin tones. Her tone was inappropriate and offensive, as though I couldn’t possibly be his father. When I clarified that I was, she responded dismissively, “Okay, well I’m talking to your son right now.” Even my son looked at me in disbelief at the level of disrespect. He proceeded to describe his symptoms himself. Before leaving the room, the medical assistant asked if I had any questions. I told her she clearly wasn’t interested in what I had to say and requested that she bring in the physician. After she left, my son turned to me and, clearly uncomfortable, asked: “What’s that lady’s problem?” When the physician entered the room, he was immediately hostile and confrontational. He asked how we had been managing the symptoms, and I again attempted to explain that my wife is a nurse and had been handling his high fevers at home. He cut me off mid-sentence, saying, “I don’t care what your wife’s education level is!” Confused and thrown off, I tried to explain that he had asked how we were managing the symptoms, and I was simply answering the question. He interrupted me again, this time more aggressively, saying he “doesn’t care what anyone’s education level is” and that he is “refusing service.” As we were leaving the facility, the physician stated that he didn’t like how I treated his staff. He then followed me and my son out to the parking lot, standing at the entrance to the building and yelling that I was being trespassed from the location. He continued to yell and escalate the situation as we walked to our vehicle — screaming across the parking lot at me and my son. Following this disturbing incident, my wife called the clinic and requested a refund, as our son was never actually seen or treated due to the physician’s refusal to provide care. The receptionist responded that “as soon as the physician walks into the room, the funds are nonrefundable.” My wife explained that care was refused and asked for the physician’s name. The receptionist refused to provide his name. Here’s the contradiction: If our son was “seen” by a provider (which makes the funds nonrefundable), then we are entitled to the physician’s name for medical record purposes. If the clinic refuses to provide the physician’s name, then it stands to reason that he was not technically seen, and we are owed a full refund. This was a shocking, unprofessional, and frankly traumatizing experience, not only for me but for my son as well. The behavior displayed by both the medical assistant and the physician was discriminatory, confrontational, and completely unacceptable in a healthcare setting. I intend to escalate this matter to the highest level possible, including submitting formal complaints to the state medical board, Department of Health, and other applicable regulatory agencies. I also expect a timely and professional response from your office regarding a refund and the name of the...
Read moreDoctor was very rude and negligent. He was an African doctor who I’d thought would be great but he was very awful . I had to beg for a preisnose prescription after being told why, and that I don’t need it. I explained my whole history of how I’m 26 and had several asthma since I was 6. Almost died in ICU a few times and If doctor looked at my notes he would see why! I have SEVERE asthma and can die any day from it if I don’t have my right medication. After begging for prednisone and and a reduce inhaler, i had to further beg for the Rescue inhaler, BUT still he refused and said that he already had to write out why I needed the prednisone and that he will not do it for the inhaler. After begging and asking again , he is finally getting angers and his finally words to me are “no, I gave you that chance” as he is walking out. Not to mention I’ve originally asked for everything I needed, so what chance. This was horrible treatment to a patient. And All this because he didn’t want to rewrite a prescription for an inhaler so he’s rather me leave while I possibly die if i run out a breathe at anytime and I am not near an inhaler or home . This was very neglectful and now I have no inhaler and No breathing medicine. My asthma is not acute it is severe and I use an inhaler very often. Not to mention I explained that I may be coming down with pneumonia like my sister has. Doctor laugh and told me, “how when it’s not contagious” . As if I was lying and me and my sister don’t both breathe this same air. Very disrespectful and prideful was the doctor. Even the nurse told me to make sure I get the questions as we’re from the doctor. I wanted to discuss the medication I was given but the doctor soul not discuss it with me. Overall I will be looking to sue and find a lawsuit. I was suppose to have to wait in that room for 15 mins after injection ofcourse they let me go well before 15 mins to be sure I didn’t have a reaction. That’s negligence. And now I’m reacting to that awful encounter Dr. Euphrase Mosokobe or Nyokwoyo No, watever your name is. It was not cool to put your pride before someone else life and health. Worst part about it is that there is nothing that you can do to make this up to me. And I gotta go the night feeling horrible and short of breathe. You don’t deserve that job !granted I know it was late but you know better. Thanks clown. I pray you hear from me again, in court.guess what Dr. “I gave you your chance” to treat me with...
Read moreI came in with concerns of fever, shortness of breath, dizziness & right sided pain, ie appendicitis. I came in 2 weeks prior & was diagnosed with Covid. I checked in 10 minutes prior to when I was supposed to which was 7:30pm for a 7:40pm appointment. At 8:10 the man sitting next to me made a big stink about not being seen for his 7:45 pm appointment. They brought him back before me when my appointment was at 7:40 & I was burning up with fever. I addressed the receptionist about what had occurred & it still another person was brought back before me & at this point it was 8:30pm. The medical assistant came in & took my temperature & said it was 97.0 & I knew that was incorrect because I was really sick. I requested another Covid & a Flu & was concerned about my appendix. She left the room & said she would be back to do the tests. Laura Campbell,N.P. came in & I was taking my temperature on my own thermometer. She wasn't happy with me but I knew I had a fever. I told her it was 99.6 & I was burning up. She belittled me & told me 99.6 was not much of a fever. I mentioned about the right sided pain & asked for an ultrasound for my appendix & she refused saying if I order an ultrasound & your appendix ruptures than that's on me!!!! Needless to say I never got a Covid or Flu test done. She said the right sided pain was from coughing which I have not even been doing in 2 weeks. I was very dizzy which she insisted I needed to go to the ER for my vertigo & shortness of breath. I did go to the ER & it turns out I had a severe UTI, which if she would have listened to my right sided pain & not tried so hard to kick me out the door maybe she could have helped me. I have worked in healthcare for 45 years & I have never been treated so horribly in my life. I was sicker than a dog & she refused to help me. Two weeks prior I gave you a 5 star review. What the hell happened? I'm absolutely appalled by the treatment I received in your clinic that evening & I will never be...
