2/9/25 , I placed an online order at 2:31pm. When placing an online order it does NOT give you the option for payment, it states that the restaurant will contact you which was fine. I never received a call which I figured was because they were possibly busy but since I placed it online, then more than likely had it in their rotation of orders to-do. I arrive about 40 mins later since it stated it would take 15 mins to be done, cool.
My boyfriend gets off to go get our order, ends up having to wait. One of the young girls tends to him at the register & asks for the name etc. She says they’re working on it, he asks her “could you give me an estimate about how much longer?” She walks away & ignores him. Never comes back, she completely avoids him. He waits over an 1hr 30mins in the building!!! I get off our vehicle to inquire myself & the young boy with longer hair & glasses comes up, I ask him “how much longer? It’s been over 2 HOURS since my order should have been done.” He goes where all the employees are scrambling by the fryers, looks at all the receipts, comes back & says “they said they already got your order out.” I respond, “where? Because we have yet to receive anything. We’ve been waiting.” He looks in their system of online orders, he then says, “you ordered online but you didn’t pay.” NO DUH! We’re paying cash & online give NO OPTION for payment. He then goes back again & comes to us with the response, “they haven’t even started your order.” We walked out in disbelief of how this location was handling orders. Waited so long to get NOTHING. Ordered at 2:31pm & left at 5pm.. ——— We are patient people & I’m familiar with the food industry, we support small businesses but the fact they had these kids running the front & being disrespectful to customers. Not a manager in sight. No accommodations. Absolutely nothing! I understand it’s a busy day for pizza & wing places but there is NO excuse for poor communication & service. Don’t allow young adults to work in your establishment if their customer service is trash. Let alone if you don’t have someone in charge to accommodate customers. I’ve ordered from here in the past but this truly showed how they value their customers, they definitely lost many people after this...
Read moreI completely understand restaurants being busy yesterday for the Super Bowl. Yesterday afternoon I went to order wings online so that I could redeem some points I had earned and it would only let me select ASAP and it listed 15 minutes as the order wait time. So I waited until much later in the afternoon to place the order . When I sent the order it let me know that someone would be calling soon to collect the payment. And she did call right away. However, she said that the wait time would be an hour. I said that's fine, I don't mind waiting an hour. As soon as I said that she replied that she actually wasn't sure how long it would be. It would probably be closer to an hour and a half. I let her know that I could wait an hour, I could not wait an hour and a half. She said ok well do you want to order or not? I asked to speak with a manager and she chuckled and said, oh no, she won't talk with you. You can call tomorrow. I just thought that was very rude to laugh at me, refuse to let me speak with a manager and to quote me two different wait times. The whole situation could have been avoided if their website had listed accurate wait times. I was very disappointed with this employee's attitude (Jessica) and her lack of customer service.
Again, I truly do understand that restaurants were busy yesterday but that doesn't mean that you have to be too busy to be courteous to your customers.
I ended up at #1 Brother's Pizza at 75th Ave and Cactus instead where there was a line and I had to wait but I didn't mind. The staff at the counter greeted me with a smile, let me know there would be a wait but that they would do their best to help me as quickly as possible. And they did! I had my wings in less than the time they quoted me and again, with a smile from their team. They were all in good spirits behind that counter even though they were busy with both dine in and take out orders.
I don't think I'll be back to Long Wong's anytime soon but I will be back to support my new friends at #1 Brother's Pizza very soon. The wings were large and hot...
Read moreAbsolute garbage. I ordered "online" on a Friday night. I thought it was odd I wasn't required to pay for my online order. Their online ordering system states "we will contact you soon for payment!".
My husband showed up 15 minutes later to pick up our food but they didn't have our order. So my husband placed the order for our food, that I already placed, and was home, which is literally, across the street, about 45 minutes later.
I open my box of food and find a sloppy, soggy sandwich, with ONE undercooked slice of bacon, two pieces of lettuce that looks like it was plucked out of a compost pile, and a couple pickles. It appears as if my sandwich has been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. That's odd, since my husband waited about 45 minutes for our food, and I can see the actual restaurant from my backyard. As I'm inspecting whether or not my sandwich is edible, my husband picks up his food and DROPS it, because the lid wasn't secure, and his chicken wings go flying all over the kitchen floor.
We have recently moved to the west side from Phoenix . Every restaurant we go to, every takeout we order, is seriously poor quality. But Long Wongs has been by far the worst food I've ever eaten on the west side of town. Oh but they did offer my husband a free drink as compensation. I already emailed Long Wongs corporate office due to their faulty online ordering. But I was compelled to write this review because of how bad the food we...
