Such a disappointment - not the food, the actual building that was so stupidly designed.
I live in the area so I was really looking forward to this location opening, but it's such a disappointment. The food is great, don't get me wrong, I have no complaints there as it's just like every other Cane's. The problem is the restaurant itself, or the building, more specifically. It's terribly designed. It's a tiny little box that is made so much worse by the terrible table layout inside. I really can't understand what they were thinking when they designed this location. There's a massive bar-type table in the center of the room that takes up most of the space and it's a total waste because no one wants to sit there. This could have been multiple four-top tables but instead there's only a couple of those, then a few two-top tables and some weird single-bar style seats that are on tall chairs right up against the windows that face the sun almost all day... again, no one wants to sit here unless they absolutely have to. On top of that, they play music at absolutely insane volumes and then everyone has to talk over top of that. When they're busy it's extremely unpleasant to be there - there aren't enough seats unless you want to sit on the stupid patio in 110 degree heat and it's so loud you leave with a headache. Enclose the patio and knock down the inside wall, turn down the music, and it would be fine. The Arrowhead location is similarly small but they made much better choices for table layout. It's still too small, mind you, and has that dumb patio that no one wants to sit in 9 months out of the year, but overall it's okay. The one over by the former Metrocenter is the ideal location - lots of room, no space wasted on...
Read moreOh boy where do I start. We ordered our food then went and sat down. The place was not busy and was a Sunday at 11am. They had tons of staff just standing around. After about 20 mins and we still had not gotten our food, I went up and asked what was going on. They had forgot to turn our order into the back. They apologized and then gave our order to the back. Our order was finally ready I turned around to look at them placing our dishes on a tray to bring order out and saw one of the ladies drop one of the plates. She then swept the the fries she drop all over the counter back on to our plate. The dropped chicken stripes she threw on the floor. She then brought our 2out of 3 plates to us. She told us she dropped the plate and would bring us an extra chicken strip. I took the plate and told her I saw her drop it and to please remake. She said I didn’t do anything wrong I said I know please remake. We sat there another 15 mins and finally I went back up there to see what was going on. Remember we had 1 of our chicken strip dinners sitting there getting cold. We all eat as a family and pray before each meal. The guy behind at the counter said I don’t have an order for you and we waited another 5 mins for them to figure it out. 🤦🏻♀️. Anyway, we finally got our food and one of the people in the party had very cold food. Please do better. Train your employees to do better. They need better customer service skills. Canes has tons of money please spend some on much...
Read moreI wasn't sure about canes at first, but they have won me over. They're a little bit pricier than I would like. And I don't like that the chicken fingers if I get the same amount of chicken fingers in a drink and fry It's the same price if I get the combo with the coleslaw and toast with it as well. So I usually get the combo but I do not like the coleslaw or the toast so that just goes in the trash every single time. It would be nice if they offered combos that didn't have the coleslaw and toast.
My only issue with this location is multiple times I've ordered just a handful of chicken fingers and cane sauce, and after I get home I find out that it's either missing the cane sauce completely or I ordered four of them and they only gave me one. And whenever you charge for each individual cane sauce, it's very frustrating and whenever you're a 10 minute drive away it's not worth the time to go back and get three four more c cane sauce that they missed, by the time I get home again my chicken is going to be ice cold and I no longer want it, or I'm spending more in my own time in gas to go and get $0.40 or $0.50 worth of sauce I paid for but didn't receive. So I just let it go. I wonder how many other customers are getting this done to them as well and how much more cages making and profit due to it.
Other than that I do still go and get those nice breaded chicken fingers, I just now look in the box/bag for all my stuff before I drive away from...
