New review June 24 2025. We'll this is my first time ever feeling the need to edit a review or drop the rating. This is now a one star place. Absolutely terrible. They still claim they don't have devils food donuts even though the trays seem to have one that resembles it. I picked glazed with chocolate icing. My 2 donuts were stale and the icing had no real chocolate flavor at all. Donuts are tiny and $1.05 a piece. Staff still seem unfriendly just like last time. What the heck happened to this place.
2019 review. No longer valid. See 2025 update. Best donuts I have had in a long long time. I drove 3 hours for Cedar Point and decided to try this place. Got 2 chocolate donuts. The first one I picked wasn't the donut I asked for. It had white icing and I wanted the one with the chocolate icing beside it. Still very good. Did not feel like complaining about it. I actually first asked if they had devils food donuts and she seemed clueless as to what that really is. Sometimes known as double chocolate but a very common donut and my favorite. Had some very good oatmeal. Its strange that they charge extra for brown sugar. I asked if they had sweet tea. She said yes but if it really had sugar I could not taste it. Tea was bad and she never bothered to refill it. Service was sorta bad. Felt like I was ignored. Prices were were cheap. Almost no parking and I had to park in the lot next door and hope I didn't get towed. If all you want is amazing donuts then 5 stars but for some of the other minor issues I'm...
Read moreHORRIBLE!!! (4 stars only so they can’t get it removed) I was part of a group of 4 people and when we came in it was busy so I will give them a little grace however, when we sat down the waitress (a short girl with brown hair) took our drink order and then brought us the wrong drinks. Then she comes over and takes our order. In an hour of waiting we didn’t see her again once to get drink refills or anything like that. By this time the diner is clearing out and everyone who is still here is complaining about how long it’s taking. I understand being busy but refusing to communicate that you have delays is just wrong! The other waitress (tall, skinny blonde haired girl) who came by was so absolutely rude. She came to refill one of my friend’s coffees and we asked about our food and she snapped at us. She then started to get the worst attitude and even went and told us we can leave. They brought the food out to us finally and it was just not good food. Something I could’ve made at home in 5 minutes. I think the nicest thing that was said to us by the blonde girl was “can I...
Read moreIf you’re searching for a delightful culinary experience filled with sugar and joy, Jolly’s Donut Shop should be at the very bottom of your list—preferably below a dumpster behind a 7/11. This establishment has truly redefined the concept of “gritty charm,” where every donut comes with a complimentary side of grime.
Upon entering, you’re immediately greeted by the warm scent of stale grease mixed with a hint of yesterday’s regret.
As far as donuts, If you’ve ever wanted to experience the thrill of biting into a pastry that feels like it has been left out in the wild for a week, Jolly’s is your paradise. There is nothing “freshly made” about these hockey pucks as the selection taste like vintage relics from last week’s stock. The glazed donuts are less about glaze and more about a sad, sticky film that clings to your fingers like an unwanted memory.
if you’re looking to indulge in a treat that’s as questionable as your life choices, Jolly’s Donut Shop is the place to be. Just be sure to bring some hand sanitizer and a strong stomach. Enjoy your...
