Panera Bread — Restaurant in Perry Township

It has been a few years since I had been to this Panera, was in town, and had decent memories of the food there. So I went in. The current fare was not quite up to snuff. The good things.... Restaurant was clean, staff and service excellent, nice, relaxing vibe. Now for the not so good.....the food firstly. I had 5 items this evening, and one item was up to Panera quality, 3 were mediocre, and 1 - which happened to be my favorite menu item at Panera - was borderline inedible and should not have been served. The other surprise was the crazy high price for the area. Over $20 for a Pick Two with a bowl of soup instead of a cup, a soft drink and a half price crossaint. NOTE: I did leave a meager $1 tip because the clerk was very good, would have left more if the price had not been out of line for smaller town Midwest. If I could give decimals, I would have given it a 3.5 because of the good help and clean, nice atmosphere. But it is borderline if I ever come back here and give them another chance due to the food...

I've not had Panera for some years. My husband and I just wanted a light dinner while working in Lima. We ordered the Greek Goddess salad, classic chicken noodle soup, bistro french onion soup, steak & cheese sandwich (added fried pickle chips on sandwich) and 2 brownies. It costs us $55. The soups were good. The salad was tasty. The sandwich barely had any meat on it. I really didnt see any cheese. The bread was slightly burnt too. The fried pickle chips were literally chips. I was expecting actual fried pickles especially for a $1.39 upcharge to add. I had a few crumbled chips. Absolutely ridiculous! I could have spent less at subway or same amount at jimmy johns & got a lot better sandwich. The salad was small for a $14 salad. I could pay same at Buffalo wings & rings and get a salad almost twice as big. I definitely will not order from them again. Overpriced for the...

We stopped here on May 4, 2021 around 6pm. They were not busy but appeared to be adequately staffed. No one was at the register. We waited several minutes before the girl sauntered to the register and just stared at us. No hello, no smile, nothing. We placed our order and she left the area. My husband ordered coffee with his meal but all the carafes were empty so I had to ask a line prep girl and she said she would get someone. Another girl came from the back room and said they would make some but it would take a few minutes. We were finished with our meal and still no coffee so we had to find another employee to get a refund. Also the tables were dirty so no sanitary guidelines being met here. The staffing needs adjustments made and a qualified manager on duty. One star for...
