Market St. Coffee is more than just a place to get your caffeine fix—it's a community hub that brings people together. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this coffee shop is a must-visit. I can't recommend it...
Read moreI was recommended to this coffee shop by a friend. We were both visiting the area and he said they had great tasting coffee, a good space to hang out and work at, and they support a social organization that helps mothers get back on their feet. All of that was a solid sell and I am so glad I checked out this coffee shop!
The space and design is beautiful and inviting. It is large, open, and aesthetically pleasing, with lots of natural light. There were lots of seating to choose from, including cozy chairs and corners for reading and conversations and tables near outlets for working. There was also a large conference room that offered a little more privacy if needed.
Service was very friendly. I believe it was a manager that came by and said hi on my first visit. She mentioned the place had just hit the 100 day mark of being open and provided some information on the organization and their mission. All profits from the coffee shop support a residency for single mothers and provide a place for them to work as well.
I ordered a mocha on my first visit - it was chocolate-ty and smooth. She recommended that I try "The Golden Girls", a seasonal drink with espresso, maple bourbon pecan syrup, brown sugar syrup, oat milk, whole milk and cinnamon. I was worried it'd be sweet with the two syrups but WOW, it was incredibly delicious and all of the flavors were balanced. Soo, sooo cozy!! I ended up going two days in a row for The Golden Girls. I wish my stay was longer so I could try the rest of their fall menu.
Absolutely recommend!! This will be a must-stop any time I'm...
Read moreThe atmosphere is very nice with lots of different seating options available. For the food, the sandwiches are not made to order. They are wrapped in plastic in a cold case who knows how long they were made. That was disappointing as I heard they had an amazing chef. My chicken salad wrap was ok. Not a lot of flavor in the salad and the bacon was limp. However the service was lacking. My friend and I went for the first time this last Saturday around 1pm. There weren't many people in the dining area. When my friend and I arrived through the side entrance no one greeted us. When we walked up to the counter to place our order, the young man behind the counter looked like he'd rather be anywhere else - again no greeting. My friend ordered the fancy ham sandwich which the young man took to the back and didn't explain. She asked for her sandwich and he mumbled, "it's in the press". This took about it seemed 5 mins and she had to wait at the counter for it. Some of the bread was burned. While we were eating the other lady server also looked so bored and finally sent to sit down. When we left, no one bothered to wish us a thanks for coming. Not sure if I'd try it again. First impressions mean a lot. Not a good one for me...
