This place is fantastic! We were not sure what to think when we arrived. The place was empty, no diners and no one to greet us, but only for a minute, and we were there just before noon. We were asked to scan a QR code and order online because they were short staffed, so I wasn't expecting much in terms of service. I was wrong. The service was impeccable. By the time we left more people had arrived but the waiter was very attentive and didn't miss a beat. As far as I could tell there were two people working total. One waiter and one cook. The chips were fresh and appeared to be made in house, which is a rare find these days. The cook brought us some samples of the agua frescas that they make themselves, and they were all wonderful. We ordered the red enchiladas and the cook came out to be sure we understood they would be very spicy. The waiter was right behind him with a sample of the sauce. It was at my upper limits, but we decided to go forward. Both the beef and chicken enchiladas were flavorful and the cheese was melted until just crispy along the edge of the plate. We tried the black and refried pinto beans. Both were good, but I felt the black beans were a tad too salty for my taste and preferred the pinto beans. The rice does have a lot of cumin so if you aren't a fan of cumin you should skip it. Before I left our waiter told us their family was originally from south of Mexico City and they used his mother's recipes. He recommended some other menu items we should try if we return. We don't live in the area, so I'm not sure we will make it back anytime soon, but we will definitely come again if we are nearby. I think what stood out the most was that they were truly interested in making sure we had a great experience and would enjoy their food. This is a family who really seems to put a lot of love into...

We went on a Friday night with my Uncle a few weeks ago when he came to visit. It wasn't crowded and the owner's son was our waiter, which was kinda cool and he did a good job as well.

I got a michelada with Pacifico, my Mom got a strawberry margarita and my Dad got a modelo. My fiance was excited to hear about their agua frescas and plans to try them next visit. He warned me that the spicy michelada was hot but I didn't think so...it was good though.

To eat, my fiance and I shared a few tacos (their taco names crack me up 🤣):

🌮 El Hijo De La Chingada: Made with a mix of Beef, Chicken, Pork, Bacon, Ham, Chorizo and Sausage Link all tender and well-seasoned in a spicy finish. Aside from the meat it includes Grilled Onions and Peppers then garnished with Raw Onions, Cilantro, Avocado and Queso Fresco. 🌮 El Tabasqueño: taco made with Beef marinated in our Original Spicy Sauce, Melted White Cheese, Cilantro, Grilled Onion, and Avocado. 🌮 El Chingon: taco made with Beef, Sausage Link, Melted White Cheese, Grilled Onions, Cilantro, and Avocado.

Omg! The tacos were delicious but they were hot af. Even my Fiance who has a really high heat tolerance commented on it. Really good flavor though.

We'll definitely be back but I'll need to order a bit more cautiously...

The beans and rice in a restaurant are usually sort of an afterthought, but here they were sooo good. We came here seeking good Mexican eats, and we saw how good the reviews were. There was no wait for a table, and our waiter was very friendly. To order, you have to scan the qr code on the table and pay from your phone. This is okay, but does raise questions about those who don't have smartphones. Also, you pay before you submit your order, which includes tipping, so you can't really tip based on service unless you brought cash. Finally, you have to provide your phone number and email address when checking out, which made my husband uncomfortable. We were told there was no other way to pay. Again, what if you don't have an email address? Anyway, the food was all handmade and high quality. We ordered the chicken and beef enchiladas with rice and beans. They were very simple, but the flavor and quality were great, and those rice and beans were awesome. I was somewhat disappointed that the dish didn't come with any sort of salad or garnish. When ordering, I had the option to add "extra" lettuce, guacamole, etc, which led me to believe that the dish already came with some, but it did not. Ultimately, the food is great, but the interface was inconvenient...

The owner, Mr. Alfredo. He was definitely passionate about his product. He was also a pleasure to speak with as he waited on us. I would consider this to be a restaurant that specializes in salsas. Alfredo makes an assortment of salsas by hand, and they all have their own kick. The truth is. I didn't care for my pastor tacos. That however, didn't bother me as everything else was extremely tasty. The ceviche was amazing. My cousin also liked his exotic torta.. Another interesting fact is Mr.Alfredo's sense of humor. Don't be offended by the menu. He chose to name the tacos according to their taste. Using Spanish profanity he distinguish the level of heat on his tacos. This is somewhat confusing. Basically, a mild taco is dubbed a mild cuss word. A hot taco is dubbed a harder cuss word, and so on. My cousin & i found this amusing. He even ordered the most offensive taco. Which is dubbed a multi-syllable cuss word. My mother would throw her chancla at me if I repeated the name of that spicy taco. I could easily tell that Mr. Alfredo loves what he does. This is evident with the taste of his food. Oh, that taco that my cousin ordered. It was flaming hot. I would definitely visit this place again. Enjoy!
