Pecan Street Station — Restaurant in Pflugerville

We have been to this establishment quite a few times and it had quickly become one of my favorite places to have a club sandwich from up until my visit this evening. I ordered my food and went back out onto the patio where my mother and SERVICE animal were sitting. He was beside me until our food was brought out by a girl with pink hair. He proceeded to walk up to her and sniff her which I guided him back to me, as she was walking away she was talking to him and he wagged his tail at her and then came back to me. My mother was missing her gravy with her chicken strips so I proceeded to walk inside to ask someone for it. As I walked around the corner to the front counter I hear this young lady with the pink hair saying very hateful things about me and my SERVICE animal. Very loudly to where other people in the restaurant could hear. Very unprofessional and to tell someone their animal should not be wearing that vest because he is not a REAL service animal is ridiculous. I believe it is actually illegal to question the status of an animal wearing a service vest. I understand people take advantage of the system and my animal is registered with papers, a vest and identification cards I carry on myself as well as on his vest. He did not jump on her or even try to like she was claiming, I did choke up on his leash to get him to respond to his commands. We are still in training with him to correct certain behaviors. He is a therapy dog, not an emotional support animal but an actual therapy dog to help people in crisis, deal with trauma, as well as special needs individuals. Not to mention his disabled owner. This behavior was very disrespectful and very upsetting. I will no longer bring my business to an establishment that allows its employees to treat customers in this manner. I sincerely hope this does not occur again and the issue will...

I'm honestly not really sure how to rate this place...it was a very odd experience in that after I placed my order and walked to the back dining area and was immediately greeted w/stares as if to say "intruder!" or "you're not from around here are you?" It felt very Twilight Zone. I sat in a back corner booth and minded my own business til I finished my meal. As for the food, I got the reuben and some tater tots. The reuben was "meh", but the tots were pretty tasty. I got a drink, an order of tots, and the reuben for $9.29 incl tax, so not bad for a full meal, but honestly, for the Reuben to be just $6+ itself, was way overpriced for what I got (which was disappointing since many of the other reviews touted it). Also, it is kind of a weird service setup, you order at the counter and they give you a number and bring you your food and then you just leave your stuff on the table to be bussed, at least that is what I'm assuming as I didn't see a trash station anywhere. The guy that took and brought me my order was nice enough, but you could tell he was stressed and just going through the motions. So, I won't be back as there was nothing here to make me want to return, but it looks to be doing fine w/the Pf locals and they seem to be overtly territorial...

We were visiting from Houston and staying in Pflugerville. We decided to go to this place because we liked the food items on their menu. The service was okay. The food was okay. I had the chicken Swiss and mushroom burger. The chicken was not seasoned at all. We did eat the food because we were quite hungry. There was a stack of styrofoam cups sitting on the counter that fell on the floor. One of the workers just picked them up and placed them right back on the counter. The cups should have been thrown away since they were now dirty. The table that we sat at was old and chipped. There were flies and gnats flying around our table and food. The trash was overflowing and there were flies and gnats around the trash. The workers did not wear gloves when handling food. We asked for some pickles. The worker that was sweeping the floor went into the kitchen to bring the pickles out to us. She didn’t wash her hands or put on any gloves. We will NOT go back to this place or recommend this place to anyone visiting...
