La Casita Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Pflugerville

We decided to try this place out today to give it a shot since another restraunt we go to frequently was packed. Well I got the combo number one and asked specifically what comes on the the taco and chalupa and was told cheese,lettuce and tomato which was perfect that’s all I wanted on mine. Well once my order comes out it has sour cream so I pointed it out and the non friendly waitress said you only asked about the taco which I know I asked about both (I’m picky so always ask lol). I told her that’s fine no worries because she seemed bothered and I just told my husband to eat it lol My husband ordered barbacoa and he said it tasted a bit old but he’s not picky and still ate his. The rice,beans,chips, salsa and my canned coke were good his tea had a bitter taste like it had been sitting or old. I guess we should have left once we only saw 2 tables taken when we arrived lol I’m willing to give them another shot so will update once we return...

I had a huge appetite and this was Saturday night, thought about trying this little place out and the Salsa and chips were good especially adding something spicy to it. The tacos were amazing as I got three tacos Of Barbacoa, Lagua, Tripa, pastor and two Bistec. Every taco was stuffed with meat and cilantro But the meat was tender and seasoned correctly As well juicy but Asado De Puerco Looked better than It Taste. The pork was dry and most likely leanThe pork was dry and most likely lean As it could have used some other seasonings to really improve Or cooked into the sauce so It could have that better Pulling apart tender And juicy pork that Asado De Puerco should have also their rice was basic. Today, I had the pleasure of dining at La Casita for the first time, and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectations. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating the perfect backdrop for a delightful meal.
