My dad and I went to dinner here on Friday 6/25/22, with my 12 yo daughter and her friend. We ordered our egg rolls, soups, and entrees all at the same time, and within about 10 minutes, we received our apps, and 2 out of 3 entrees. The waitress did not mention any type of delay. We waited about 10 minutes, and my dad's food was still not brought out. I finally asked the waitress, and she said she would check on it. I watched her talk to someone, add it to the computer, then go about her business. We waited another 20 minutes for his entrée to come out, as if they forgot to enter his, and had to make it. I know and understand that sometimes there is a delay, but at this point, my dad was finished with his egg rolls, and while we ate, he had to wait for his food. As we went to check out, I mentioned this delay to the cashier, and he called a manager to come out. The manager basically said that other orders, like To-Go orders, were in between ours, which makes no sense at all. If the waitress had entered OUR TABLE'S order all at the same time, that would not have happened. He refused to accept responsibility for it, or to even offer a discount on the meal. I mean a meal that is $10.35 and he could not even take off $5.00 to compensate for the time and THEIR MISTAKE. Well needless to say, we paid the bill, but the waitress did not get a tip, and we will not be returning. I have been here once before and it was fine, and I have ordered to go from here, but that was horrible customer service. IF you make a mistake as a business, OWN IT, and make it right, or you...
Read moreThis was our first time trying J Tins. It costs the same as our favorite place, but everything tastes noticeably worse (except the eggrolls). It is more convenient, so we may try one set of different dishes to see if this experience was abnormal.
They offer free deliver on orders over $15 within a few mile radius (which is great!), so we opted for delivery. We placed the order Friday at 4:30. They said it would take 45 minutes; it was more like 30. The driver smelled heavily of cigarette smoke, but the containers and food were unaffected.
We ordered 3 entrees with rice (paid $1 per entree to get fried instead of white), and 2 eggrolls. After supplementing it with our own white rice, we got about 2.5 meals' worth out of it for 2 adults (i.e. 5 for 1 adult).
The egg rolls were the best I've had in years. They are $1.50 each.
Everything else was as bland as I expect from a cost-cutting all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant, but at the price of average take-out.
Beef and Broccoli: The beef was nice and tender. The broccoli was not at all hard, which is usually my pet peeve with this dish. Instead, the problem was the extremely bland flavor.
Cashew Chicken: Also very tender, also extremely bland.
Pork Lo Mein: Also very tender. Somewhat less bland than the other dishes. Still not particularly good, but easily the best of the 3 entrees.
Fried Rice: Unusually dry, with an...
Read moreGreat food! I highly recommend this place. It was my first time visiting, and I was genuinely impressed by how delicious everything I ordered was. Each dish was packed with flavor, and you could tell the ingredients were fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you're into classic Asian food or something a bit more unique, there's a variety to choose from that caters to different tastes.
The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was friendly, attentive, and clearly knew how to make guests feel welcome. They were quick to take our orders, and our food arrived without any unnecessary delays. It’s rare to find a place where both the kitchen and the front-of-house team are in sync, but this restaurant nailed it.
Even when the place got busier, the staff kept their cool and continued providing great service. It’s obvious that they value customer satisfaction, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a spot that combines tasty food with top-notch service, this is it. I’m already looking forward to my next visit and will definitely be recommending it to friends and family.
