I get all my oil changes done at this location and for good reason.
The manager, Ryan, and his staff truly go out of their way to make sure you're helped, even if that means directing your business elsewhere to help you save money or being bent over in the cold for over an hour working on your vehicle.
I came to this location a few days prior for an oil change and also needing a headlight replaced. I left with the oil change, a (much needed) new battery, but no headlight because they hadn't any in stock. Over the next couple days I tried desperately to get my headlight replaced at other autoshops but to no avail because the holidays had them backed up and was told that I would've had to leave it at one of these autoshops for at least 5 hours before they could even get to it. This did not work for me so I went ahead and bought the new headlights myself, tried one more bodyshop, once again to no avail, before returning to this Valvoline location and asking if they could spare the time to replace the headlight and that I would pay for the labor or buy some other service to make up for it. Ryan waved all this off, immediately remembering me from the days prior, and saying he'd do it for free. He did this in freezing cold weather, all the while making friendly conversation, answering any questions his coworkers had, and directing other customers into bays so they could be worked on. And due to my vehicle (08 saturn aura) being special... what sounded like a quick 15minute deal ended up being Ryan working on my vehicle like this for an hour, once again... free of charge.
I will be back for my all my oil changes in the future and for once actually on time because of this.

Read moreOn Tuesday, 5/30/23 I went to Valvoline of Pflugerville as returning customer to get an oil change for my 2019 Chevy Equinox. My car is in excellent condition with less than 30k miles on it. I only use the car on the weekends, so the car is as good as new. Bryan, a very young, unexperienced employee asked me to pop the hood open to check what kind of oil the car takes. Any experienced mechanic would know that my car uses high performance synthetic oil just by looking at the make & model. After he confirmed the obvious, he proceeded to slam my hood several times. He ende up damaging the cable that pulls the latch to keep the hood latched. There was obvious damage done to the cable. His manager, Ryan called me today to tell me that after reviewing the video his employee was not at fault & that they were not responsible for the damage done to my vehicle. I thought that a returning customer I would get a better treatment. Ryan basically called me to blame me for the damage. He was bluntly accusing me of trying to pull a fast one n his shop. He told me that the damage was previously done, but how is that possible, if I arrived their without my hood popping open on me, which is what logically would've happened if the hood was not latching properly. Read moreI love VIOC, but this location is beyond subpar. They were doing my state inspection and stopped immediately because my power steering fluid was low. They ran out, so I had to run to autozone and purchase fluid and added it. Came back and waited again for 30 minutes. They then proceeded to tell me my check engine light did not come on when it started, and due to this, it failed. I took my vehicle home because this seemed crazy. I parked my vehicle and decided to start my car and check to see if the check engine light comes on at start-up. The light came on (along with all the others) at start-up and then turned off. I drove to VIOC and asked for the manager and explained the situation, and showed him that the light actually does come on and then turn off. His response was, "Oh, okay, we can do the inspection." No apologies for the tech mistake, the lack of brake fluid, or allowing me to not wait AGAIN for 30 minutes in line. I decided to go elsewhere, another VIOC, a few miles away that knew what they were doing. I will continue to be a VIOC customer, but I will never use or recommend this location to anyone.
