Aya Kitchen — Restaurant in Philadelphia

My wife ordered last night and she’s vegan. She spoke with the woman over the phone specifically asking her if they have dishes that are vegan, The woman mentioned what they have that they can do to make vegan friendly. My wife also asked if they cook the rice in water and the woman asked to double check and mentioned that they do. After my wife eats the food she noticed with the little she was eating she wasn’t feeling right. She consistently complained about her stomach hurting and that she feels that she’s going to throw up. Around 2 in the morning she woke up out of her sleep and vomited a whole lot. She spiked a fever at 100 then later on 101. She also has diarrhea and still in bed in pain. To make matters worse we have a 7 month old son and she breast feeds and he got sick and was throwing up so much that we were highly concerned. Thank God for my cousin having good baby medicine that helped him and he’s doing good. I will say I do understand that not everyone truly understands the difference between vegan and vegetarian, however when you mention that you have or you can make dishes that are vegan and not take the proper precautions for food safety. You can not mix meat, dairy and egg in vegan food, vegan food excludes meat, dairy and egg. You also can not have vegan food come in the same oil that you cook with meat or any kind of meat broth. Aya Kitchen is a fantastic Halal pizza store that I recently visited, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of their pizzas. The store is located in a convenient location, and the ambiance inside is quite cozy and welcoming.

One of the best things about Aya Kitchen is that all their pizzas are Halal, which is great news for anyone looking for Halal food options. I ordered the Chicken tikka pizza, and it was simply fantastic. The crust was perfectly crispy and had a nice chewy texture, and the tomato sauce was tangy and flavorful. The mozzarella cheese was also of excellent quality, and it was evenly spread across the pizza, making each bite an absolute delight.

Apart from the Chicken tikka, Aya Kitchen offers a wide range of pizza options, including vegetarian and meat-based toppings, all of which are Halal. I also tried their pepperoni pizza, and it was equally delicious.

Omg the food was so good I could cry. I didn't want the meal to end. Great hot food, nice size portions. Price is very reasonable. Taste was wonderful with a genuine homemade quality, just so much flavor for days. The salad with the feta cheese, onions,black olives, cucumber and tomato, the homemade white and hot sauces. Man it was truly far better than the average halal food cart in any of the neighborhoods. The falafel is amazing.... the other platter was fish and it too was amazing, fresh tasting and perfectly cooked. I put this restaurant in my list of favorites and will be a frequent patron. I hope they last a very long time. This neighborhood used to be lacking in good halal food, I am happy to say that is no longer the case. Do not hesitate to try this place if you love lamb over rice or falafel.... but so far the fish is my favorite. My only request would be can you make a platter that is fish and falafel.
