I don't normally bother writing restaurant reviews, but I have to share my experience with Ninja Bao. I've been wanting to visit this place since I moved back to Jersey over a year ago and I finally got the chance yesterday while cat sitting for my mom and I was NOT disappointed!!
I already knew trying to find the place might be difficult from other reviews and I don't ride the train much so I was super nervous about the trip, but once I got into Suburban Station the guards helped direct me and I found it no problem!
The restaurant was clean and surprisingly quiet! There were so many things I wanted to try and share with my boyfriend that I definitely ended up splurging a bit, but it was so worth it!
Everything we tried was absolute 🔥! Even reheated once I got home later that night, though I'm definitely looking forward to bringing family and friends back so we can eat it hot and fresh!
The service was excellent and the staff very sweet, allowing me to sub out a different drink with the meal I purchased. If you get the chance to stop by this little dive, do not hesitate!! This place is an...
Read moreSimply put, this is the best new ramen place in Philadelphia and my new go to. If you're a fan of ramen, do yourself a favor and dine here. The pork belly somehow remains crispy and delicious even in the soup. The scallions are fresh and crisp, and the flavor of the broth is out of this world. If you're a spice head like me, don't be afraid to order it extra spicy--it packs a huge kick but is right at the level I like. The sweet and crispy tofu balances this out.
Their namesake baos are to die for. The beef curry is my favorite, perfectly blending the flavors into a little puff of wonder.
I've been here twice already and plan to go again today. Their prices are reasonable, and even cheaper to the inferior (if not still delicious) nom nom ramen.
Tucked away in a corner in the suburban concourse, this place gets busy beginning at noon. It's a small place, so if you're dining in, try to get there early. The staff is incredibly friendly and will make customize your order to taste (which is huge for me, due to a dangerous peanut allergy).
To conclude, in the words of vanilla ice--Go Ninja,...
Read moreTHIS WAS A GREAT PLACE TO GRAB FOOD. BUT I WAS SHORT ON TIME! I only had 30 mins for lunch, so finding this place was a little hard. Once you're underground (I went in through the escalators at 15th St station). Take a right at the bottom of the escalators and walk towards the Post Office. Make a left and follow that hallway. Then the underground hallway splits into two you'll see a Dunkin Donuts to your right, don't go down the hallway with the Dunkin donuts, just stay straight AND TO YOUR LEFT. You'll find a jewelry store on your right, and the restaurant is right next door. Done. You've found a great spot for bao buns and I also got their chili wontons. I'm so happy to find a small place like this where I can quickly order online and pick up that's near my office. I also had to call the place and ask where they were, the woman who answered was very sweet and guided me to the location. Overall I paid $15 for wontons and 2 bao...
