Parking: This is located in Chinatown, so mainly street parking. Be prepared to drive around and look for a spot. There are parking garage around the block because Bar-Ly is located right across from the convention center and diagonal from Reading terminal. This is definitely a to-go place if you and your group would like to find a place to chill or gather to watch a sport game. Not only do they have their own bar, but also have a wide variety of food on their menu! Running from Viet cuisine to sushi to pizza and wings! The vibe is just energetic once you step your foot in, especially during a sport game like the Superbowl! But I would suggest make early reservations during those big game nights. There is also a party room available for guests to book for a party. Food & Drinks: I tried their wings with mango habanero sauce, salmon pizza, and one of their drink with lychee and ginger beer that I can’t recall right off my head. The drink was pretty good. Salmon pizza was wonderful. The wings, on the other hand, I feel are a bit too dry and not enough sauce. Everything else was definitely not bad at all.

Bar-Ly is a surprise find on the edge of Chinatown. We found ourselves here one evening while trying to get out of the rain. This place has an incredibly large draft list... and that's about all I can say this place has going for it. The entire atmosphere, unfortunately, feels very artificial in what can only be described as a misguided attempt at capturing the feel of a sports bar. The environment is very (very) large, open, and well lit. Despite all the well lit tables, the music was too loud to have a conversation, which would be fine if it were "that kinda bar," but just it isn't. Overall, this place has a premium, no expense spared identity crisis. At the end of the day, this is a terribly interesting place to visit once or twice (out of odd fascination), but I can't see choosing to come here otherwise.

Walking into Bar-Ly the other night I was full of excitement. It looks like a fun place to have a great night. We were seated promptly, and were given our menus, and server right away. We ordered our drinks, and apps received them in no time. The duck dumplings were great, along with our trashcan drinks. This is where it all went south. We were waiting patiently to order our next round, and entrees. We were left there for about 25 mins with no drinks, or service, with a hostess, and manager standing right next to us. Now I get it, it was busy so I let it be. After calling over the manager to maybe get some drinks, we got an attitude saying why don't you ask your server. Again I get it very busy. I saw the manager go to the server to remind her, where she looked over to see us seated. We waited another 20 mins to get her over to the table, still without our next round of drinks we ordered. My friend ordered the chicken wings (Mango Hab.). Still waiting for our drinks I made a comment that we should just grab the check, and go. The hostess heard me finally, and I believe she thought we were trying to leave without paying.... she walked over to a table and whispered in what appeared to be the owner of the bar (Heavy-Set Gentlemen). When I tell you the rest of the time there he was staring at us, I mean REST of the time. Felt really uncomfortable, and finally our FOOD, DRINKS, AND CHECK hit the table at the same time. Normally I would leave it be, and not write a thing, but I asked around the neighborhood, and other guests that were outside. Everyone I came in contact with said that place is exactly what we experienced. We packed the wings to go, just to get to our hotel room to find out they were still pink in the center. Sauce was ehhh. So what do you do when someone can't do it proper. Do it yourself. Popped those bad boys in the oven, and whipped up a REAL SAUCE. Most enjoyable thing about that place was what I...

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Joe at the bar, and I can genuinely say it was one of the highlights of my week. From the moment I sat down, his warm smile and infectious enthusiasm made me feel like I was being welcomed into a cozy living room rather than just another bar.

Joe has this incredible knack for making everyone feel special. He took the time to ask about my preferences and shared stories that had me both laughing and reflecting on life. It’s rare to find a bartender who not only mixes a fantastic drink but also crafts an experience that lingers long after you leave. His cocktail recommendations were spot-on, perfectly tailored to my taste, and each sip felt like a celebration.

What truly struck me was Joe's genuine passion for his craft. He spoke about the art of mixology with such reverence, as if each drink he served was a masterpiece. It was hard not to be swept up in his excitement. By the time I finished my drink, I felt not just satisfied but enriched by the connection we shared.

In a world that often feels rushed and impersonal, Joe reminded me of the simple joys of laughter, good company, and expertly made cocktails. I left the bar with a smile on my face and a heart full of gratitude. If you have the chance to experience Joe’s magic behind the bar, don’t miss it. He’s not just a bartender; he’s a storyteller, a craftsman, and a true gem. Cheers...
