Desforra Cafe — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Everything was so delicious! We got the Portuguese egg tart and the beef and chicken empanadas, and they were all so yummy! The empanadas come with a homemade verde sauce which is a little spicy fyi for the people who prefer non-spicy. Personally, I love spicy foods so I thought the sauce was so delicious with the empanadas! The egg tart is one of my favorites from this cafe!!

The service was very fast, and the ambiance of the cafe is very cozy and welcoming. The lady at the front, who was very friendly, explained every menu item to us, and everything sounded so delicious. I will definitely be back to try out the other menu items!

Desforra is a new coffee shop on the corner of N 3rd and Cambridge. The owners and cook collaborated on the menu and offer some food choices that coincide with their own cultures so you have Mexican, Dominican, and Portuguese options. The coffee is amazing in an area with some formidable competition, but what sets this cafe apart are the pastries and the owner's hospitality. This place is such a delight! The folks running the place are some of the sweetest people on the planet. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the food is amazing! Easily some of the best avocado toast we’ve ever had and the breakfast quesadilla was light yet filling. The flavors on both were on point, nothing over done and everything was complementary. The coffee and espresso are ground in front of you fresh and prepared with care.
