🛑 FULL DISCLOSURE FROM A PIZZA EXPERT 🛑
I have tried every pizza place in the Manayunk/Roxborough area and this is the best pizza that there is around here period and i will explain why👇
If you want pizza to fill your stomach, you can go to Almost every place around here, they have the worst dough, the worst cheese ect, basically lots off them are Papa Johns style. Some that are New York style are just ok, very basic, nothing special. Pizza Jawn its supposed to be the best pizza around here but not comparing to this Pizza. This pizza it is light, crispy, perfect maturity of the dough and nice cooking. I dont want to rate the toppings as every restaurant buys from same vendors, so basically are the same. Comparing to Pizza Jawn this is lighter, more digestible and more crunchy. Overall better taste.
Not saying this pizza is the best in the world or something , but the best in the area. Who understands the since behind pizza and bread will agree with me. Who want to fill their stomach Papa Johns is 2 min away.
My only suggestion for the pizza is a little less salt on the sauce(especially on Pepperoni), you want to keep a good balance with the dough and the toppings.
P.S. Do yourself a favor and get the pizza from this guys. You will enjoy without feeling bloated and will...
Read moreBest pizza I have had in NW Philly, maybe the best I've had in Philly. I'm from Connecticut and New Haven style apizza is my favorite, and I have not found anywhere here that compares. This is not exactly New Haven style (they acknowledge that and call it "New Haven inspired") but I think all that is missing is a coal-fired oven. One of the key things about New Haven pizza is that it's designed to be eaten without mozzarella (mozz is an optional topping, although at Eda's only the specialty "New Haven" style pizza comes with parm rather than mozz) - that means you have to have a really delicious, well seasoned but fresh tomato-forward sauce. It also needs to be well done to the point where it is burned in spots, crispy but still a bit chewy. A slice should be able to pretty well hold its shape unsupported. Eda's accomplishes all that with really tasty sauce and crust. It's not the cheapest pizza around but it's reasonable and a great deal compared to other places of similar quality. This will definitely become my regular pizza spot.
My one request is that they offer a few more toppings, especially some kind...
Read more---EDIT--- Eda's made up for the subpar pies they sold me. They have plenty of good reviews so don't let mine scare you away from giving them a shot and making your own judgment. They are an honest business. I think you can rest assured that if they mess your order up, they'll make it up to you. I've been wanting to try this place for months. Finally decided to treat the family to pizza night.
Unfortunately this pizza was bad.....like very bad. I don't think the pizza they gave me was representative of their normal quality, but that's solely based on their Instagram posts and other people's reviews.
Yes, I know what New Haven style pizza is. Yes, I know what well-done pizza is.
This was neither of those things.
I like a little char on my crust. I like bubbles. This was more than a char. We threw more than half of it away, which I never throw food away.
I spent $61 there and I regret every cent of it that wasn't spent on the Hank's Cream Sodas lol.
Again, I think it was an off-night for them, but I can't give this place more than 1-star. I hope others have a...
