Founded Pizzeria — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Food is decent. Atmosphere is nice. Service is awful. I’ve only done take out so maybe dining in is different, but in 2/2 orders I’ve made they forgot an item. I even had a note on the second order about the first. They apparently couldn’t hear me over the phone when I called to contact about that (which is odd since they’d heard me fine ten minutes earlier.) Staff are rude, which isn’t a deal breaker but also isn’t great. The website is glitchy and the order status updates don’t work. They also didn’t respond to contact forms through this site, possibly because it’s after 6 and the manager is probably not there.

I just had surgery so I’m not about to wait until morning and walk over there with receipts to show I ordered some items and hope someone can process a refund. I’ll just take the loss (again) and move on to a different place. Disappointed I made the mistake of coming here twice. With that said, if you have time to learn the quirks and you don’t mind the many inconveniences of trying to get a takeaway order from this place, I do think it’s got potential.

I’d have probably become a regular if the issue from the first order had been addressed, had not been repeated, and if the website and updates actually worked. Or if the guys who worked here had been even vaguely able to help. I don’t need service with a smile, but I do want what I paid for.

Updated to add: I was not told to grab the dessert for the second order, and the first was a delivery. I’m also not sure why the person who responded felt the need to call me a liar, especially considering there are many other reviews saying they’ve been treated rudely, so I don’t enjoy that. But I appreciate that the missing items were refunded at any rate. Obviously I won’t be back, but I’ll add a star for the fact that some resolution...

Ordered 4 lunch deliveries for my job from here on 2/13, due to my manager raving about their food. While placing my order, the guy told me the Chipotle Burger only came with cheese and the burger patty. I requested to have everything on it that was listed on the menu and at the end of the conversation, I had him repeat all 4 orders back to me, which he did perfectly. However, only 1.5 hours later, a regular cheeseburger with only cheese and a burger patty arrived and a receipt that stated cheeseburger. I called the store to request a refund and to have the burger replaced for our inconvenience of time. The employee was rude and attempted to argue with me. The “manager” got on the phone and told us they’d only replace the burger OR refund us but would not do both and they weren’t sure how long it would be! Mind you our lunch is from 1-2pm and they originally got there at 1:30pm. We will NEVER order from here again! The customer service is HORRIBLE! Not to add, the onion rings were soggy from the grease, the 1 burger that had all the proper toppings on it was pink (which that burger was for me and I ordered it well done, because I’m pregnant) and the buffalo wings were extremely fatty and looked as though they were GMO or plumped with steroids but after dealing with their ignorance in reference to original incompetence about the Chipotle Burger, I didn’t waste my time calling back. My manager who raved about this expensive corner store quality food even saw where I had bitten my burger and asked “do you like medium burgers” and I allowed her to know the entire situation. She did not want to believe the story but with 3 witnesses, she decided she’ll never order from there...

Here’s the thing. Founded Coffee & Pizza makes great pizza. But I’ve now had two major issues and it’s led me to never wanting to order here again. First, I ordered a margarita pizza online that was delivered to me as a soupy mess and when I called to report it, I was told that, that specific pizza isn’t supposed to be ordered for delivery even though it was available online for delivery. Luckily they resolved it and within 45 minutes we had a fresh new pizza and it was great. Tonight we ordered a Hawaiian pizza and it was delivered in a total reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately we open the pizza and found that it was dry and sauce-less. I thought, maybe they forgot! So I called and said, “hey guys, I think someone forgot to put sauce on our pizza! It’s delicious other than being dry and sauce-less!” And shockingly we were met with total objection and the Owner says despite the fact that their menu (both paper and online) says all pizza come with sauce, they’ve NEVER made their Hawaiian pizza with sauce. Now if Hawaiian wasn’t my FAVORITE pizza maybe I would be duped by this, but sadly for them it is. And not only that, when I called to report it, I got rudely spoken to by the Owner and when I said I won’t be ordering from here again the Owner said to me “PLEASE DON’T”.
