Four Humours — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Hosted a small birthday party here and it was simply AMAZING. I was able to book the entire venue out for a few hours which was key to me coming with families and little kids. Regarding the place itself - amazing atmosphere.. The owner Jonathan was simply the best to work with, easy to communicate with about helping me set up the perfect gathering - and made sure we had an amazing time, even food recommendations. Very attentive to all my guests and so fun and friendly . His 2 bartender staff were so gracious and skilled. The drinks - speechless! It is clear they put a lot of love and thought into each of their drinks. Never had fruit cocktails so fresh! Everyone had found a new favorite drink there. My friends all truly had a memorable night out thanks to Four Humours. Experience- Excellent- Great service, unique opportunity.

I booked a private tasting with a small party. The price point was high, but absolutely worth it. We were greeted with warmth and felt as though we had made a couple new friends by the time we left. We were able to choose 2 custom drinks, which we were then coached and able to jump behind the bar to mix ourselves. It was clear that the staff had thoughtfully planned ways to make us feel welcomed.

Staff- Quality gentlemen- Personable and attentive.

Jonathan (owner) was consistent & clear during all communication, from booking to post-visit. He was a pleasure to chat with a genuine in his efforts to make our party feel comfortable (which we were)! Kai (mixologist) was very knowledgeable and equally as pleasant. He is an innate teacher who wanted to empower us as novice bartenders.

The cocktails are fantastic but the experience is marred by the service every time I've visited. last visit on entry we were angrily asked if we had a reservation... for bar seats? Of which at least 6 were empty? All the tables were empty as well, so I'm not sure what we needed a reservation for. The next people who came in were not asked this. Once we got menus it was a full 10 mins for the bartender to return to take an order. And then we waited over 10 minutes for our drinks, even though there were 3 bartenders and a grand total of 8 people sitting at the bar. I get that those egg whites take time, but at nearly $20/drink with tip, it's a little ridiculous that service is so poor and the staff has such...
