I had a pretty good time watching a drag race episode premiere on the top floor of the bar, there was an accompanying drag show and drink specials. All was well until a bartender was rude to my fiance as he was trying to close out his tab. It was a white woman, blonde or light brown hair, sleeveless gray shirt. It was loud, so it was hard to hear, but he was raising his voice to ask to close out his tab and she looked at him with this like disgusted face and yelled "WHAT?!" and rolled her eyes. It was so rude, we were both kind of struck that it even happened. Once she heard him she grabbed his tab and slammed it down in front of him without another word. I couldn't believe the attitude, especially since the other servers were great all night. He still tipped 20% so it wouldn't affect the other servers but I wanted to write this review to express my anger. He didn't deserve to be yelled at and treated like that. Bars are loud, she should be used to it. No idea what her problem was that day but it was absolutely unprofessional. Which is a shame, because it was an otherwise fun night. Ended on a low note...
Read moreTook my wife and son there last week after a show at the Forrest Theater. Its about a 3 minute walk, so close and convenient. I must say, from the pics i saw, i thought it was mostly a bar, and maybe it is, but the restaurant area was quaint and nice. We were quite comfortable. The menu was interesting and had several things we were all interested in trying. I had the Buffalo Brussel sprouts (sounds strange, but delicious) and one of those non-meat burgers that are getting so popular - all very good. My son got the pan seared fillet (slices of filet cooked individually) and he said he was very pleased. And my wife had the chicken parm - again, very good. Bottom line: i'd definitely recommend this place. Not saying it's fancy, it's not. But it's good food at reasonable prices. Oh, and the service was quite good too - very friendly. All-in-all, a...
Read moreDecided to go out alone because I needed to let my hair down and I had the best time here. First drink was a little overpriced to me, so I started sticking to my usual rum and cokes, but they were smooth and strong. There were no other solo people at the bar, so I decided to check out the dance floors and there were so many options. I shuffled around a bit and it was exactly the vibe I was looking for. They had water out at the bar which saved me after I was completely wasted lol. A bartender and a patron checked up on me and made sure I was good after I fell over. Staff is friendly. Bathroom was surprisingly clean for the traffic it was getting. Finished my night with a slice of pizza from Homo Hut around the corner. I didn’t order any food so I’ll be back...
