One of the worst shows I ever seen. I have seen shows all over and this one is the worst. I just came back from a show now and I had to share this. That's how bad. It is very awkward when you have to wait in the very small lobby. As soon as you go into the auditorium you are informed you may leave to use tha bathroom but you may not come back into the auditorium! Why not just lock the outside doors, this is just a horrible idea. The only best part is that you can see the stage from all angles. The play I saw tonight was Antigone, let me tell you it's not what you expect. You can't even follow the story line because half of it was in a different language, where their was subtitles but half the time they weren't there and then the other half didn't even matched up with what the actress was saying. So I consistantly had to keep looking up to see if there were any subtitles. Also there was not enough people to play the parts. One girl was one mans wife, the next she had a different name and was Creons wife. How can we follow this. This play had to many different things going on and was not at all good. The staff on the other hand was friendly, not what the other reviews said. I think it's the ownership/managements fault and they let you know that they want your money all over the place. I even found ads saying that you can use them for your will. Yeah...okay.
It might have just been this show but I highly won't take another hour drive to see them again. Unless they change completely for the viewers, I see no reason to go. Even though the tickets are cheap due to a stated "grant," which means part of my ticket was still payed by someone else, it should be better. Your in tough market on a tough street... Start...
Read moreDon't miss DOGMAN!!! The Musical! Every seat in the house is great! If you sit in the first row, you'll be on the same level as the actors, so you may want to sit a couple of rows back. We sat in the 4th row, and it was perfect! The set design, props, and concepts were excellent, and the actors' execution was outstanding, resulting in spectacular fun! Even though there were only 6 actors, it felt like a full cast ensemble, and they worked tremendously hard to pull it off. The musical follows the 1st book and A Tale of 2 Kitties puuuurrrrrrrrrrfectly, word-for-word!
After the show, the actors did an impromptu meet and greet on their way out. Despite being tired and sweaty, they stopped and chatted with the children who were still around, asking how they enjoyed the play. The actors were incredibly gracious, taking lots of photos and signing autographs for the kids. It was a wonderful close to the show. We've been to many shows for our children, and none have been able to capture their hearts and attention the way this show did from beginning to end. It was fun for adults too, very funny and extremely creatively done! Thanks so much!
Also, I was hoping they would continue the dance party as we left the theater, and they didn't disappoint us. My kids are wanting to squeeze in one more visit to the show.
