We took our daughter to see the Philadelphia Orchestra play in Verizon Hall in April 2022. We parked at 1500 Locust and walked only a few blocks to the Kimmel Center. I preferred parking on Locust to avoid getting on Broad St. for the venue garage. They are still checking for ID and vaccination cards when you enter and require masks in the venue (as of this writing), but all went quickly and smoothly to get us in and seated. Verizon Hall is beautiful (as is all of the Kimmel Center). The ushers are at every level and help you find your seat easily. For listening to the orchestra play, there really isn't a bad seat, even way up in the back. We were on the third tier center section near the front, and had a good view of everything. The seats were a lot cheaper than others, and yet the music still...

Yo, DO NOT buy tickets here in the summer time ever! Unless you wear at least three pairs of pants or bring a blanket. Each seat has individual FREEZING air conditioning blasting from it to ensure that you stay cold and frozen the entire time. It's summer! Why does it need to be winter all year long, why can't people actually enjoy being comfortable and warm? Why do people want to be miserable all the time? It's not enjoyable and I cannot believe they make people pay to be so miserable and freezing. It was not even that hot out, probably 70 degrees outside when I attended but they ensured that it was as cold as a freezer in here. I did not have a good time...

What amazing sound! It doesn't have the grandeur of some of Philly's older more lavish opera houses and theaters but the sound is impeccable and the design is clean and unobtrusive. I had the unforgettable pleasure of seeing the first ever Philadelphia Orchestra Pride Concert with Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Martha Graham Cracker and the Philadelphia Gay Men's Chorus. It was phenomenal and moving. I have seen the orchestra there before and Tori Amos twice I believe. It was a packed out and a free concert. So interesting to see how different the crowd is at a free orchestra concert. I loved it. It felt like seeing a Shakespeare play at the...

Helpful staff going beyond the average. Superb Hall. Phenomenal music programs and often have pre-performance educational programs gratis and sometimes, post program interviews and Q&A sessions with soloists particularly those performing in the smaller concert Hall. Highly disciplined audiences with very few people ignorant enough to cough without using their arm or pit to dampen the noise. 2,500 people all turn their phones off too. Many performances are recorded for radio and legacy archive, so the quality of these too must be very good. Pre performance restaurant, bar, interval orders all work perfectly for a wonderful unsurpassed experience.

This is a wonderful natural wetlands sanctuary that is located in Eastwick on 8601 Lindbergh Boulevard in Philadelphia. We came here in support of the refuge by attending their Fall Festival. Great family fun with archery shooting nature talks and informational booths for environmental awareness. The Falconry Girl was interesting with her raptor birds and knowledge. The nature talks were held in the visitors center. An interesting feature is their free seed packets for you to take and plant in your garden or backyard. So come down and select from many native plant/flower seeds.
