Today, I wanted pizza and I chose the "King". Just 4 slices of beef pepperoni...to go. There was a twenty minute wait. Fine. As I waited I enjoyed the visually satisfying cadence of watching the hand tossed and stretched pizza crust prepared by one man. Not to mention there were 9 people who ordered before I arrived. Everyone was waiting patiently and quietly. The pizza sauce and toppings of cheese, beef pepperoni or ground beef were assembled with care and quickness. Then put in the oven. No frills, no cap just great pizza and service.

First time here and it certainly won’t be my last. This is a true no frills pizza joint. Just pizza and beverages. No wings, garlic knots or anything else. The pizza was great and the sauce wasn’t as sweet as I’ve had from other places. I’ve always preferred pork pepperoni, but honestly, their beef pepperoni was absolutely fine. I’m glad I visited this establishment and recommend others to do so as well. Just take note that the close at 6pm and are cash only.

Haven't been here since high school. And it's still the same place as I remember. An old school, no frills pizza spot that makes the best pizza around hands down. Whole pie, or by the slice. Simple basic toppings, pepperoni, beef and cheese. And cash only family!! So stop by the atm before you go in. King of Pizza living up to the name. 5/5.

I have been eating their pizza my WHOLE life. I’m 49yrs old & don’t remember a time when they didn’t exist w/ ORIGINAL owners & ORIGINAL pizza makers all these yrs! It’s the only food they make & sell. 🗣THERE IS NO PIZZA LIKE THEIRS ANYWHERE! I ate it almost daily while pregnant w/ my now 18yr old son. Who btw, loves their pizza just as much as any1 who’s ever eaten it! I would put their pizza up against ANY other style, pizzeria or gourmet chef’s pizza. That’s how great it is! Plus it’s easy to find, just down the block from the famous Max’s Steaks! Whenever ur in Philly or near Broad St & Erie Ave., check ‘em out. Make sure 2get there b4 6pm closing time tho! Sorry but their hrs haven’t changed in 49yrs...

I'd give the Pizza a 4, but my wife and kids weren't as big a fans as I was, so taking that into consideration, I dropped it to a 3. You can get a whole large pie with 2 drinks for $17 (ours was half cheese and half sausage) I'd say that's pretty darn good deal, peoples behind the counter were friendly as well. Being on Germantown Ave, it is a tad sketchy, we got hit up for food and/or money inside (while at the booth eating) which really is uncalled for and makes it uncomfortable. I get you can't stop them from being outside, but ownership should make sure that doesn't happen inside and they did seem to know (him). Other than that, I'd surely go back for a slice, but probably not...

King Of Pizza on Germantown Ave. @Erie Ave. Has always been the best. Patty Jackson didn't put this place on the map, it's been poppin like forever. I was 14 possibly when I first started eating Kings Pizza, now I'm 67 and still get my fix once a week. As this being Patty's fav, now they're overwhelmed. They need another oven and someone else to spin that dough. It use to be 3 brothers. 2 retired, and the one left needs to go enjoy his life too. A son or nephew is taking over so we will be going into another generation. Oh being as you're blooming again, maybe take some of the new money and remodel. It needs it desperately...Maybe even adding another double oven to help out with the...
